Cheltenham Odds 2023

As the Cheltenham Festival is one of the biggest horse racing events of the year the odds are constantly changing during the run-up to it. We know it’s important to stay on top of which bookmaker is offering the best odds for each horse in each race. That’s why we’ve put together these Cheltenham Festival Odds pages.

By visiting a page that relates to each race you’re interested in, you’ll be greeted by an odds grid listing all of the horses that have been entered into that particular race. The odds pulled directly from the bookmakers giving you a live and up-to-date odds feed. You’ll be able to use these odds to compare bookmakers to ensure you’re getting the best price possible for your Cheltenham horse selections.

The grid will continuously update with the current prices. This will mean we have the correct prices for horses shown at all time. If a horse drops out, the odds will no longer show in the grid. You can click directly through the odds of any horse to be taken straight to the bookmaker website where the selection will be automatically added to your bet slip meaning you won’t have to search through the website to find the selection. You then have the choice to bet on the horse or not.

Using free bets with the best odds

Using the add to bet slip technique above you may come across a horse that is best priced with a bookmaker you currently don’t have an account with. This means it might be the perfect opportunity to sign up to that given bookmaker to ensure you’re getting the absolute best price available. If you want to do this, then take a look at our Cheltenham Free bets page to see everything that we currently have on offer with the UK’s biggest bookmakers.

Once you find the bookmaker you’re looking for and you’ve signed up you’ll then be able to bet on the horse you originally wanted to. Only this time you may be rewarded with some Free Bets or Bet Credits that you’ll be able to use on other horses, however, This will depend on which offer you signed up to.

Top trainer at Cheltenham Odds

Every year at the Cheltenham Festival there is an award called the ‘Top Festival Trainer’. This is awarded to the Trainer who has won the most races over the 4-day long festival. Over the past 10 iterations of the festival, the prize has been shared by 3 trainers. The Three trainers in question are Gordon Elliot, Nicky Henderson or last year's winner Willie Mullins.

For that reason, choosing one of these three trainers will generally be the best move as there is an extremely high chance one of them will win it due to the number of entries they generally put out in the festival. Unfortunately for that reason, the odds for the top trainer at Cheltenham are generally pretty low. They will also fluctuate greatly during the run-up to the festival as entries begin to get announced. For this reason you may get good value betting ante-post on the top festival trainer.

Top Jockey at Cheltenham Odds

In addition to the top trainer award, there are also odds offered on the top jockey at the Cheltenham Festival. Much like top trainer, this has been dominated in recent years by a few Jockeys. One jockey stands out from them all when looking at the previous winners and that jockey is ‘Ruby Walsh’ who has won top jockey for 11 of the last 16 years festivals. However, the now 40-year-old jockey announced his retirement a couple of years ago meaning the odds for top jockey opened up a bit more last year.

The previous three years top jockeys were won by Paul Townend (2020), Nico de Boinville (2019) & Davy Russell (2018) who are all in the running for the award again this year. The main jockey to keep an eye one is the winner of the gold cup two years on the bounce Paul Townend as he and Willie Mullins are likely to put in some good performances at the next festival.

Which bookmaker has the best odds at Cheltenham?

There is no one single answer to this. The Cheltenham festival is one of the biggest betting events of the year with bookmakers competing against each other to provide the best price. This means it is good to shop around and check different bookmakers in order to find the best odds for the Cheltenham festival.

That is the reason we’ve created our Cheltenham Odds grids that can be found on each race page above. You’ll be able to see the odds in real-time and compare the top bookmakers. This allows you to be sure you’re getting the best price available and not missing out.

Cheltenham Festival Enhanced odds

As the Cheltenham Festival is such a big event in the UK, bookmakers often try to out-do each other in order to secure punters bets. One way they do this is by offering enhanced odds on popular races throughout the week. You will have to go onto bookmakers sites directly to find these enhanced odds as they are usually put up last minute. That means they won’t usually be around when ante-post betting.

Championship Race odds

There are four championship races at Cheltenham and these include the following:

All of these races are the ones that people want to secure a winner in. Odds may change frequently on the run-up to the festival depending if horses are beaten in the run-up or not. For that reason, it is a good idea to keep an eye on the odds for these races in particular just in case your favourite horse's odds begin to increase. You’ll then be able to bet on the ante-post odds if you so wish.
