13:55 - Liberty Beach

The first runner of the day for is the John Quinn trained Liberty Beach who looks to be a very progressive filly that should be able to step up to Group Two company.

The two year old has been superb over five furlongs this season winning four of her five runs including a superb win last time out at Goodwood in the Molecomb Listed Stakes.

She steps up to six furlongs today for the first time in her career and she looks as if the extra furlong will bring even more out of her and she is the one to beat on form alone.

14:25 - Raahy and Swordbeach

The Premier Yearling Stakes is a big fielded Class 2 over six furlongs and with that in mind we have two selections in this contest with a win and each way selection.

The first fancy in this contest is the George Scott trained Raahy who looks to be a smart two year old from his four runs this season.

Two starts ago he got off the mark in style winning comfortably at Lingfield, he then went to Goodwood and finished midfield in a Listed event and now back in class looks to have a good chance.

Our each way shout is the Eve Johnson Houghton trained Sword Beach who has three seconds to his name this season in decent contests and with the yard in good form he is worth considering.

15:00 - Qaysar and Vale Of Kent

Another big fielded contest comes next with the Clipper Logistics Handicap over 7 1/2 furlongs and again we have two selections with some big value about in this contest.

The first selection in the race is the Mark Johnston trained Vale Of Kent who has been in fine form this season winning the Bunbury Cup three starts back and then last time out finished a decent second in the Golden Mile Handicap at Goodwood and that is leading form.

Our each way selection is the Richard Hannon trained Qaysar who has been superb this month with two clearcut wins and with the yard in form and the horse being a big improver he can not be overlooked.

15:35 - Enable

The feature race of the day is the Group One Yorkshire Oaks and our needs no introduction but we are going to anyway, Enable in our eyes is the world's best middle distance racehorse to arguably ever grace the sport.

This season she has been in fine form, picking up from where she left off last season staying unbeaten by landing two Group ones in the Coral Eclipse at Sandown and the King George VI and Queen Elizabeth Stakes at Ascot.

In her career she has won 12 out of 13 times and is now has 11 wins in a row and staying at 1 mile 4 furlongs in preparation for the Arc should see her do the business again.

16:15 - Frankellina

The penultimate race of the afternoon is the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Galtres Stakes and we have sided with the William Haggas trained Frankellina.

This filly has been frustrating this season, showing clear promise on her seasonal debut when second at York in the Group 3 Musidora Stakes but since then has found things difficult.

She has been running in better races than this and now back in this company she can flourish again and we know she handles the track well which is a big positive.

16:50 - Salayel

The final runner on day two at York is the Roger Varian trained Salayel who runs in the Class 2 Fillies Handicap over seven furlongs and this three year old looks a big talent.

This youngster has not finished outside of the top three on all of her runs to date with her last performance in the Class 2 Fillies Handicap at Newmarket showing her clear ability when a good second.

She has gone up six pounds for that run but she looks to be a big improver for a top yard and top connections and should not be overlooked in this one.
