17:00 - Pak Army 16/1

The first horse of the day that we fancy at Dundalk under the lights is Pak Army for trainer J R Barry and at a decent price this five year old is advertised to be taken each way.

The gelding has ran to a modest standard recently but seemed to get back to a bit of form when fourth over a shorter trip at the track and now stepping back up to 1 mile 4 furlongs should see him improve.

He made his breakthrough win at this track back in September over course and distance and backed that up straight away and if getting back to that form has a big chance.

18:30 - Bella Brazil 3/1

The one mile handicap sees our next selection and Bella Brazil for Jessica Harrington has performed strongly in both England recently which makes her a big threat here.

In November she landed a Class 3 Nursery Handicap at Kempton seeing off some smart performers that have gone on to frank that form by running to a high standard against better opposition.

On her only run this year at Newcastle she was just touched off on the line in a decent contest that saw three horses neck and neck all the way to the line.

She now steps up to a mile that looks exactly what she needs off the back of that Newcastle near miss.

20:30 - Masalai 5/1

The final runner of the meeting from us at Dundalk comes in the lucky last which sees a seven furlong handicap and Masalai for trainer Edward Lynam looks to have a huge chance.

The six year old gelding is a very consistent sort placing in four of his last five races at Dundalk which includes a win over course and distance back in October.

He has been tried at a mile but looks more effective for the step down in trip and still being on a very feasible mark makes him a big player.
