Sunday's US Selections

Gulfstream - 19:37 - Allworthy 9/2 E/W (2 places - 1/4)

Another Woman is the obvious danger here and there are numerous well bred newcomers so it isn’t a race for maximum faith however Saffie Joseph’s 3-y-o seems to have been overlooked in the market.

This chestnut filly snatched third from a hopeless position on debut in a useful looking special weight and she now moves up an extra furlong with that experience gained.

On paper there doesn’t look to be much difference between the two and our selection is available at an each-way price opposed to the even money favourite.

Gulfstream - 21:16 - Spotters Hill 11/8 (Double - leg 1)

Spotters Hill caught the eye when cruising from the front on debut only to be collared late and he now steps back slightly in distance second time out.

He represents a yard that can have horses improve markedly for the run so any amount of progression is possible and he has been handed the plum draw which allows Juan Alvarado to deploy similar tactics.

Tampa Bay Downs - 20:25 - Shamrocket 13/8 (Double - leg 2)

Shamrocket often fades over 1m4f and gets going late over 1m so this extended version of the latter looks right up his street.

He holds Over The Channel on their previous encounter and he is still open to improvement on just his fourth start for Todd Pletcher.

Santa Anita - 00:18 - Damn The Torpedos 16/1 E/W

At a big price Damn The Torpedos is worth an each-way play for Simon Callaghan.

This daughter of Air Force Blue missed the break when finishing well behind today’s favourite on debut at Santa Anita but she made some eye-catching headway in the latter stages over 6f and they now move up to 1m.

She has to cope with the widest draw this time around but she will definitely improve for the step up in trip and she is 16/1 compared to her rival’s price tag of 15/8.
