Rodolphe Brisset’s Carrabio was backed into 5/2 from 7/1 at Tampa Bay on Boxing Day where he finished a never-nearer second after losing his place in the pack mid-race.
The manner in which he picked off the field from such an un-promising position was impressive and the winner of that event stepped up into Stakes company next time out.
He has been handed stall 2 here which will help Irad Ortiz gain a nice early position in the race.
