The first selection on the third week of the 2023 Racing League is the Paul & Oliver Cole trained Pink Satin who makes her handicap debut in the Class 4 Nursery event over 6f.

A horse that has only been seen twice to date making her debut over course and distance at Windsor, she went on to score in decisive fashion from a nice type for Richard Hannon who previously finished a close second to the talented Group Two winner Jasour.

Pink Satin has been seen once more when giving weight away to the field in a Novice Stakes at Nottingham being beaten by Shuwari who has since gone on to land the Listed Star Stakes at Nottingham and the form of that race has since been franked with the second since landing the Group Three Sweet Solera Stakes.

Pink Satin now makes her handicap debut off a mark of 82 and getting back to a C&D she has already won at she looks one of the more likely winners.

Age: 3
Weight: 9-9
OR: 85
Days: 27

Next up is the Class 4 Handicap over 6f and having form in better races this season, Conquistador for team Ireland should go close.

The gelding joined George Boughey from John & Thady Gosden in December last year and on yard debut got off the mark for his career when landing a 5f Novice Stakes at Wolverhampton, beating the progressive Radio Goo Goo on Boxing Day.

He went up to 6f at Lingfield next time out on handicap debut and made it back to back wins in good style off a mark of 83.

Up 3lb for that win and back down to 5f at Royal Ascot in the Palace Of Holyroodhouse Stakes, he managed to finish a good second behind the two runaway leaders.

Seen once more off the same mark at Newmarket in July he stumbled at the start and it seemed to ruin his chances, so he can be excused for that run.

Dropped 1lb to a mark of 85 and with Billy Loughnane taking off a further 3lb, he is essentially racing off 1lb lower than his last winning mark.

Another tricky punting event on the card at Windsor is the Class 4 Handicap over 5f and we are giving another chance to Holkham Bay, who was not seen to best effect next time out.

Making his debut in a Novice Stakes at Lingfield over 6f when running to a good level to finish a good second giving 5lb away, he then went to Lingfield and got off the mark for his career fairly easily.

Having a year off the track and returning as a three year old, many thought he might have needed the run but he put up a superb performance to only go down by a neck giving almost a stone away.

Last seen at Glorious Goodwood in the Class 3 World Pool Handicap, from his pedigree it looked as though he would handle the softer conditions but he didn't and only beat two home.

Hopefully getting back to a quicker surface and in a weaker race he can resume his progressive off the same mark.

Magic Memories

J: Sean Levey
T: Gary Moore
N/A
Age: 3
Weight: 9-2
OR: 77
Days: 17

Gary Moore sends some nice runners to Windsor on Thursday evening and one of them is Magic Memories in the Class 4 Handicap over a mile.

Making his debut at Windsor over 6f on soft ground when not having the pace over that distance, he was then stepped up to 7f on the all weather at Kempton and was ridden in the rear before not being able to make any impression on the leaders.

Getting his first chance on quick ground in a Novice Stakes over C&D at Windsor he finished a goos third behind the progressive Alsakib and a smart horse in Elnajmm who will be winning races soon.

Last seen over 7f on soft ground at Lingfield when finishing second behind the very talented Molaqab, he now makes his handicap debut off a mark of 77, back at a track he has ran well at before and this could be more his bag in this sphere.

Chartwell House

Age: 3
Weight: 9-9
OR: 92
Days: 40

The Class 3 Handicap over a mile looks highly competitive and the William Knight trained Chartwell House has been very consistent of late.

Starting the season off at Newmarket over 7f when a good third of 17 in a strong handicap off a mark of 82, he then went back over the same C&D and did not handles the soft ground.

Back on good ground for his third run over the same trip and track, he finished a good fourth behind the likes of Havana Blue, Striking Star and Signcastle City.

Sent to haydock in June off the same mark of 82 he got off the mark for the season when bolting up in a Class 4 Handicap by four lengths from next time out winner Royal Charter.

Up to a mark of 91 he showed the handicapper has still not got him in his grasp, he finished a good second to the smart Ramazan, who last week was a smart winner at Chepstow in the Racing League in a better race than this.

Running off 1lb higher here, Chartwell House has some leading form claims and dropping into a CLass 3 having been running well in Class 2's, he should go well.

The Whipmaster

J: Kieran Shoemark
T: Gary Moore
N/A
Age: 5
Weight: 9-4
OR: 85
Days: 20

The penultimate event of the afternoon sees another nice chance for Gary Moore with Windsor specialist The Whipmaster back on a workable mark at his favourite track.

The five year old gelding has raced at Windsor six times during his career winning three times with two of those victories coming over course distance.

In 2022 he reached the peak of his form when landing a four timer seeing his mark of 72 rise to a mark of 83 when bringing up the fourth win at Windsor over C&D.

Sine that win he went to a mark of 89 and ran well at Ascot over 1m4f but since that run he ended the season in poor form running off marks of 90, 89 and 87 and running well below par over 1m2f.

Needing his first run this term at Newbury in a 19 runner handicap off a mark of 85 with 1m2f showing again not to be his distance at all, he bounced back to form on his second run off 83 back over this races' C&D at Windsor when bolting up by three lengths.

Back up to a mark of 89 and 87 for his last two runs he showed those marks are beyond him but not back down to 85 and back over the same course and distance of his last two wins, he is interesting at a double figure price.

Tiffany

J: Luke Morris
T: Sir Mark Prescott Bt
N/A
Age: 3
Weight: 8-2
OR: 84
Days: 19

The final event of the evening is the Class 2 Handicap over 1m2f and Tiffany for Sir Mark Prescott is an extremely progressive filly, who if taking another step forward will be tough to beat.

A winner at Wolverhampton on her third career start over 7f when her odds suggested she wasn't likely to win, she was then sent into handicaps, up in trip in typical Sir Mark Prescott fashion and she has flourished.

Running in a voided race at Wolverhampton over 9.5f when sent off favourite, she then went to Windsor over C&D and made it back to back wins in good style off a mark of 72.

Last seen over the same trip at Newcastle when bringing up the hat-trick in good fashion she is now 9lb higher in the handicap but looks a typical improver for a yard that thrives with these sorts of horses.
