14:50 - King And Queen

The first selection of the day comes in the Class 5 Handicap over 1 mile 4 furlongs and the Mark Johnston trained King And Queen looks to have a big chance.

This three year old colt since joining this yard has won both his races impressively at Hamilton and now stepping up in trip could bring even more out of him.

He is seeking a hat-trick on Sunday and won't mind any ground he races on winning both on soft and good ground so far this season.

15:20 - Bit Of A Quirke

Bit Of A Quirke goes for us in the next race and this Mark Walford trained gelding is a very consistent runner that will love it if a bit of rain comes down.

Although running well on good ground he performs best with a bit of cut in the ground and the forecast points towards that come Sunday at Pontefract.

The six year old needs to change his form at this track but elsewhere has been superb placing in three of his last five races winning one of them.

15:55 - Pure Shoes

The feature race on the card is the Listed Summer Festival Pomfret Stakes over 1 mile and Pure Shoes for trainer Ian Williams looks to a serious challenger.

This season he has raced four times placing in two of events and looking very progressive on his latest outing at Newbury when a narrow second.

He will have to step up going into Listed company but looks like the type to be able to and should give another good account of himself.

16:30 - Tricky Dicky

The Class 3 Handicap over six furlongs sees our penultimate selection of the afternoon with course specialist Tricky Dicky looking to add to his fine record.

The Roger Fell trained gelding has figures of 112 at the track in his last three runs winning over course and distance twice on soft and good ground, showing his versatility.

He looks the pick of the runners on offer and you can't overlook his course form, one to beat in our eyes.
