In what looks set to be a fairly competitive Listed affair, we’ve picked out the Pascal Bary trained VAUCELLES.

A winner over 1m 2f on debut at Deauville in May, she was a six lengths fourth in the Prix Saint Alary over the same distance at Chantilly next time out.

She thrived off the step up in trip on her first start over 1m 4f in her next racecourse appearance to win the Group 2 Prix De Malleret and now returning off a 303 day lay off, she’s the one to beat if she manages to rediscover that 2020 form now up in trip once again.

It’s the rematch, In Swoop vs Sublimis in the Group 3 D'hedouville Stakes at Parislongchamp this Thursday.

The pair came head to head in the Lord Seymour Listed Stakes last time out for both horses over this C&D and we’ve gone for SUBLIMIS to land the spoils once again.

After a successful debut run in 2019, he landed four back to back places over this distance before looking out of sorts when stepped up to two miles then 2m 4f respectively.

He bounced back to form over 1m 2f at Chantilly in March and then showed his staying power when flying home to beat In Swoop last month.

The ground is set to be similar here and if the pace is fairly quick once again, he’s likely to be difficult to beat with improvement expected from both him and In Swoop.
