The first selection for us at ParisLongchamp on Saturday comes in the Group Two Prix Chaudenay over 1 mile 7 furlongs and the Frederic Rossi trained Mykiss looks a nice price.

The three year old has been superb this season racing four times, winning three events and finishing second in another showing how consistent he can be.

His best runs have come on heavy ground over 1 mile 4 furlongs and event though he is stepping up in trip today his pedigree suggests he will be able to deal with it.

In this small field he should be able to deal with muddy conditions the best having won twice this season in the same conditions.

The Qatar Prix Dollar is one of the best races on the Saturday and again we are sticking with the home runners with Skalleti for Jerome Reynier.

Although this race looks to have a class field going to post with Coolmore's Ocean Atlantique and the Joseph O'Brien trained Patrick Sarsfield, our selection should handle the wet conditions the best.

The five year old has been a frequent winner during his career especially on very soft or heavy when taking this race last year, a Group Two in Italy and last time out a Group Three at Deauville.

The gelding saw off a strong challenge from the Arc's third favourite Sottsass that day with his gritty, determined run in the touch ground behind one of our main reasons for fancying him.

We step up to the feature race of the day in Paris with the Group One Prix de Royallieu over 1 mile 6 furlongs and Pista for Joseph O'Brien looks the pick of the bunch getting the weight allowance.

The daughter of American Pharoah has been superb since starting her career this term, although needing her debut at Leopardstown has since been unbeaten in all three of her outings.

Staying is the name of her game, running over 12 and 14 furlongs and getting better with each run, landing the Group Two Park Hill Stakes at Doncaster last time out.

She cost a whopping $675,000 as a yearling and is slowly repaying that price tag and having shown she handles soft conditions she should give another bold showing here.

The shortest group race on the Saturday is the Prix Daniel Wildenstein over a mile and the favourite in this one, The Revenant looks hard to beat.

The Francis-Henri Graffard trained five year old is as consistent a horse as you will find winning seven of his 10 races during his career and never finishing outside of the front three on any occasion.

Very soft ground or heavy is where he is at his best so conditions are in his favour and although not being seen since his second to King Of Change nearly a year ago in the Group One QEII at Ascot, he is the pick of the race on form.

Our final selection on the first day of the Arc meeting is the Freddy Head trained Call The Wind in the second Group One of the afternoon.

Call The Wind has been an exceptional six year old for the yard, winning three of his four races this season and finishing second in the other one.

He loves this race, finishing a bold second in the event last season and this term he has been as good as ever winning a Group Three and Group Two at Deauville over a staying trip.

He looks the best stayer in the race being the only horse to ever run over this trip and if running to form will be very tough to beat.
