Navan Sunday Preview - 24/11/19

12:30 - Entoucas

Navan host an exceptional card of runners on Sunday to round off a great week of jumps racing and in the first race of the day we fancy Entoucas for trainer Joseph O'Brien.

The five year old is a second season novice that wasn't overly impressive in bumpers but on his seasonal debut finished a smart third behind Envoi Allen at Down Royal which sets the standard here.

The second that day was stablemate Front View that has since franked that form by winning next time out in a tough race and that gives Entoucas a big chance here.

13:00 - Abacadabras

This Grade Three hurdle has seen six declared over the 2 mile 4 furlong trip and Gordon Elliott's Abacadabras should take all the beating here.

He came into the season with some smart bumper form, having finished fourth in the Champion Bumper and that form has already seen some nice boosts this season, with Envoi Allen winning on hurdle debut and the third, Thyme Hill, already a Grade 2 hurdle winner this season.

He ran out an easy five length winner on his hurdle debut and then backed that up over two miles at Navan last time out coming home an even easy winner than his first race.

He holds plenty of potential and if handling the extra half a mile he could give his trainer a huge headache for the Cheltenham festival.

14:00 - I'm A Game Changer

The 2 miles 1 furlong EBF Beginners Chase shows a lot of very smart hurdles horses that are now tackling the bigger obstacles and I'm A Game Changer looks the horse to beat.

The seven year old will be steered by dual Grand National winning jockey Davy Russell and he was on board him for his seasonal debut third over course and distance earlier in the month.

The gelding finished a smart third to leading players in this division Melon and Fakir D'oudairies and if running to the same standard should not be beat.

14:30 - Tower Bridge and Chris's Dream

Another big race on the day at Navan is the Ladbrokes Troytown Handicap Chase over three miles and with a huge field of runners we have two selections.

Our first fancy is the Joseph O'Brien trained Tower Bridge that was fourth of 18 runners on his first start of the season earlier on in the month but if getting back to his Cheltenham festival second in the Close Brothers Novices Chase last season he will take all the beating in this one.

Another we like at a slightly bigger price is the Henry De Bromhead trained Chris's Dream who is a course and distance winner at this track last season that proves he goes well fresh and is made for this contest.

15:30 - The Getaway Star

The final selection of the day at Navan comes in the Bumper contest over two miles and in this Listed event we fancy the Declan Queally trained The Getaway Star.

This four year old filly last season made her debut in a 19 runner bumper at Fairyhouse where she prevailed nicely and caught the eye as one to follow for the future.

She was not seen since the start of this month over two miles this time and she beat a nice Willie Mullins horse to keep her unbeaten record and we believe that sets the standard.
