13.50: The Qatar Racing Handicap Stakes

The first race on the second day at Newmarket is the Class 2 Qatar Racing Handicap over 1 mile 4 handicap and we have gone for the John Gosden trained Corelli.

This four year old gelding is very lightly raced compared to the rest of the field and in his five runs he has only finished outside of the top three places in one of those contests.

He has three wins to his name including his last run in November at Southwell on the all weather where he landed a decent Class 3 contest and if improving for that run will be tough to beat on Sunday.

14.05: The Tangerine Trees Conditions Stakes

The first race form Hamilton on ITV on Saturday comes in the Class 2 Conditions Stakes and we have gone for the William Haggas trained Deputise.

As a two year old he had a record of four wins in eight races and looks to be a very progressive youngster. His first race as a three year old was a good second at Lingfield at the all weather championships.

Coming back on to turf will be a positive and if coming on for that run is certainly the one to beat in a contest that looks easier than his last one.

14.20: The Charm Spirit Dahlia Stakes

The second race of the day from the Cambridgeshire track is the Group 2 Dahlia Stakes over 1 mile 1 furlongs and we have gone for Veracious to take the contest.

This Sir Michael Stoute trained four year old filly has had six starts to her name and showed plenty of ability in all of them being in and around the frame in some good Group contests.

Her best run came at Sandown in the Atalanta Stakes where seeing off five other to take the Group 3 contest and anything similar to that performance will see her take this race.

14.35: The Buttonhook Handicap Stakes

The final selection from Hamilton on the ITV roster is the Class 3 Handicap over 1 mile 5 furlong and we have sided with the Mark Johnston trained Charles Kingsley.

This four year old colt has only ran three times in his career and he is very unexposed which could play to his strengths as he tackles his furthest distance to date.

He landed the first race of his career and then last time out when stepped up in trip finished a good second at Wolverhampton. He is an interesting contender on his turf debut.

14.55: The Longholes Handicap Stakes

The Class 2 Longholes Handicap over six furlongs sees many smart and pacy individuals and we have sided with the David O'Meara trained Summerghand.

This five year old gelding had a great season last year over this distance and got straight back to it on his seasonal debut when finishing second in photo finish over course and distance.

Has gone up three pounds for that smart performance but having the same conditions as last month and handling the track well he definitely enters calculations.

15.35: The Qipco 1000 Guineas Stakes (Group 1) (British Champions Series)HAMILTON

The feature race of the contest and the second Group 1 in Britain during the flat season is the 1000 Guineas over a mile and we have gone for the Aidan O'Brien trained Fairyland.

This three year old filly is one of many from the Ballydoyle team but she was a class act as a two year old winning four out of her five races.

Her best performance came on her last run at Newmarket when getting up late in the day to in the Group 1 Cheveley Park Stakes. There are stamina questions but has a live chance on Sunday.
