ITV Saturday Preview - 13/10/2018

13:50 Newmarket

Norway 3/1

The coverage opens with the Godolphin Flying Start Zetland Stakes over 1m2f. This Listed race for two-year-olds can go to Aiden O'Brien's NORWAY.

This Galileo Colt impressed at Naas last time out, winning by six and a half length. Although that was his first win for three runs it was a massive improvement with hopefully more to come.

The small field should suit and he can makes it two wins from four runs in the opener.

14:05 York

Mountain Angel

The first race from York is the Download The Coral App Handicap. MOUNTAIN ANGEL is a consistent sort for Roger Varian and can win for the second time this season.

The four-year-olds performances have gradually improved and she can finally get her head in front again after finishing second the last twice in handicap company.

14:25 Newmarket

Kadar 11/4

It's back to Newmarket for the Masar Godolphin Autumn Stakes. The Group 3 looks at the mercy of likely second favourite KADAR.

The horse looked a class act on its two year old debut, winning at Haydock in style.

He has been confidently spoken of in the Karl Burke yard and William Buick will be hoping he is aboard one of the top milers once again.

14:40 York

Constant 9/1

It's back to York for the Coral Rockingham Stakes. CONSTANT looks to have a good chance in this Listed race over 6f.

The two-year-old has only had the three outings, winning second time out before going down second to a nice prospect at Hamilton last time out.

Ground should not be a problem for the Karl Burke trained Colt and he has a big chance.

15:00 Newmarket

Too Darn Hot 1/1

The feature race of the day is the Darley Dewhurst Stakes. This 7f sprint for two-year-olds can go to John Gosden's latest superstar TOO DARN HOT.

He will go off favourite which is no bad thing, this race has been very kind to them over the years. His three runs so far have been mightily impressive and he has already bagged two group races.

Whilst there are many other interesting sorts in the race Frankie Dettori will be confident of his mount.

15:15 York

Staxton 10/1

STAXTON can take the spoils in the Coral Sprint Trophy Handicap.

The Tim Easterby trained three-year-old only went down by half a length last time out at this level and he is running off a similar mark.

He has a good win on his record in a Class 2 handicap back in July and a similar performance can see him take the spoils once again.

15:40 Newmarket

Stars Over The Sea 20/1

The coverage finishes with the Dubai £500,000 Cesarewitch Stakes. This famous handicap with the huge prize money unsurprisingly has a huge amount of entrants.

Many big prices have won this over the years and we are going for 20/1 shot STARS OVER THE SEA. This Ian Williams seven-year-old is carrying plenty of weight but justifiably so.

His thumping seven length win in the Cesarewitch trial was mightily impressive. The gelding is hugely overpriced and can win this historic race.
