The first race of the day from the Berkshire track is the Fillies' Handicap over a mile and Dreamloper for trainer Ed Walker will not be far away.

The four year old filly has been highly consistent during her short career, racing six times last season and managing to win two smart events whilst placing in another two.

Having placed in a good race on her second start at Doncaster over a mile, she then got off the mark at Redcar in emphatic style, winning the race by close to eight lengths.

She dropped down in trip next time out at Kempton and was a fair third but needed to go back up to the mile and she did that at Ascot when winning the second race of her career.

The daughter of Lope De Vega returned for her seasonal debut in April and finished a good fourth in a valuable handicap at Haydock over seven furlongs and now back to a course and distance she has won it, she looks the one to beat.

Inform Tom Marquand takes the ride.

Archie Watson
Age: 3

Days: 13

The first big race of the day at Lingfield is the Listed Oaks Trial Fillies' Stakes over 1m 3 1/2f and at a big price Sherbet Lemon for Archie Watson could out run his odds if handling the soft ground that is set to come.

The daughter of Lemon Drop Kid has been seen twice to date, getting off the mark over a mile in February at Newcastle and then in April finished a good fourth behind Noon Star at Wetherby.

That race looks to be a strong affair and she was unlucky finishing strongly into fourth that day coming from the worse position and it was over a shorter trip.

She is a half sister to a horse that finished third in the Melbourne Cup, which mean her pedigree suggests she will get this extra trip and having been an expensive purchase she could well outrun her odds.

Interesting contender at a value price.

Ralph Beckett
Age: 4

Days: 218

Next up is the Listed Buckhound Stakes over 1m4f and the Ralph Beckett trained filly Albaflora could have a big say at a nice price.

The four year old was smart in the majority of her five outings last term, getting off the mark at the first time of asking at Haydock over 10f, seeing off some next time out winners.

She then was slightly upped in trip at York for the Group Three Musidora Stakes where she was a good second behind the Mark Johnston trained Rose Of Kildare.

Stepped up to 1m4f at York she was beaten by better horses, but bounced back to form over the same trip next time out when going down by a head in her first handicap.

She was last seen again going down by a head over 1m6f in a Listed event at Ascot, being beaten by the St Leger second Berkshire Rocco.

She has stayers in the family and also horses who appreciate cut in the ground, with the ground set to go soft she could be a big player.

The feature race of the day is the Listed Derby Trial over 1m 3 1/2f and the favourite Adayar for Charlie Appleby looks very tough to beat.

The son of Frankel has been seen three times to date, finishing fourth on debut in October at Nottingham over 8.5 furlongs when looking to learn a lot for the experience.

He then went back over the same course and distance later that month and got of the mark for his career, taking the event by an impressive nine lengths.

Saved for this season he made his return in the Group Three Classic Trial at Sandown in April and finished a staying on second behind a nice type for William Haggas.

Stepping up in trip is sure to suit and having won on soft ground in the past the bright star could firmly put himself into the Derby picture.

Olly Murphy
Age: 6
Weight: 10-4
OR: 126
Days: 29

The only race of the day on ITV from Haydock is the Grade Three Swinton Handicap Hurdle and the Olly Murphy trained Copperless deserves his chance in this event.

The six year old is nicely weighted in the field and if none the worse for his fall last time out when travelling well, he looks to be the pick of the field at 5/1.

Having ran in one bumper on the all weather in 2019, he stepped over hurdles this term and has been superb in all of his runs.

He made his seasonal debut at Perth in September and finished a good second behind Stoner's Choice for Fergal O'Brien who has franked the form on numerous occasions this term.

Copperless then went unbeaten on both his next two runs, landing a maiden hurdle over this trip at Market Rasen and then going to Taunton in March and doing the same.

Those two runs primed him for a big run at Aintree's Grand National meeting in the Amateur Riders' Handicap Hurdle and coming to the second last Olly Murphy's horse was travelling best of all.

However, he came crashing down and looked to take a nasty fall, but fortunately got up in the end and has only gone up 3lb in the handicap for his effort.

That sees him still on a very workable mark and the way he was travelling last time out makes him interesting once again at a decent price.

Clive Cox
Age: 3
Weight: 8-11
OR: 107
Days: 20

The penultimate selection of the afternoon comes in the Group Three Chartwell Fillies' Stakes over seven furlongs and if the rain comes, Isabella Giles is an exceptional price at 9/2.

The Clive Cox trained filly has won four of her five events to date, with her last two outings showing the best of her progression when winning back to back group races.

She landed the Group Three Prestige Stakes by seven lengths at Goodwood and then in better company stepped up again to take the Group Two Rockfel Stakes over seven furlongs at Newmarket.

She stepped up to a mile on her final run as a juvenile last term in Group One company at Newmarket and unfortunately got outclassed.

The filly returned at Newbury in the Group Three Fred Darling Stakes and looked to need the run back in sixth, also not handling the quick ground aswell as others.

Getting back to a surface that is more to her suiting and also having a run under her belt should see her go much closer.

If going from the front she could dominate in this weaker race.

Hugo Palmer

Avoiding the Novice Stakes with it being a minefield for punters, we are moving on to the Victoria Cup over seven furlongs and Acquitted at 9/1 looks to be the each way value.

The four year old was a smart performer as a juvenile winning two of his three races over a mile on both good and soft ground.

As a three year old he did not show much, but back this season a year older he seems to be a different character when finishing a good second on seasonal debut at Doncaster in the Spring Mile Handicap.

He only went down by a neck in March and only 1lb higher for this race makes him a big player once more for the inform Hugo Palmer yard, who is currently running at a 27% strike rate.

Days: 31

The final selection of the afternoon is the James Fanshawe trained Turn On The Charm, who could dominate this small field if improving the form line of his last race.

The four year old ridden by William Buick was a smart horse at the back end of last season, winning twice at Nottingham and Kempton on differing ground and then went to Redcar and finished a fair fourth in a good event.

He came back and made his seasonal debut at Nottingham in a decent handicap that has since thrown out two winners and a second from the first four.

The form of that race warrants him to run a big one in this lesser event and at an odds above price he looks to be value.

Days: 32

The Class 3 Handicap over 1m4f sees some smart horses head to post and if the rain comes as the forecast expects it to then Louganini is a big player.

The four year old for Roger Charlton won his sole event as a juvenile in 2019 over seven furlongs at Newmarket on soft ground.

He then returned for another season last term and on his second start won nicely at Haydock on soft ground again, with it being the key to his success.

on his final run of the term he finished a valuable second of 17 at Haydock in the 1m4f Old Rowley Cup at Newmarket and that was a career best run.

The son of Zoffany made his return in April at Pontefract and was well backed for the 1m2f event, but the quick ground went against him and Waldkonig ran out an easy winner.

The ground is makes this horse the value and he can not be any worse than his seasonal debut run.
