The first event of the afternoon sees the Group Three Zetland Stakes that over the years has produced some talented winners and we believe Goldspur can be just that on Saturday.

The two year old son of Dubawi will be looking for favouritism in the market with stablemate Hafit, but off the back of his debut we believe this colt is the one to follow in the race.

Goldspur has been seen once to date, running over a mile on soft ground at Sandown and he went on to demolish a fair field of runners by close to seven lengths.

He steps up in class for this event with it being his first try in black type company, but he looks a beast of a horse that should be feared going forward.

The first runner of the day for us from York comes in the Listed Rockingham Stakes and we can't look past the highly consistent Ever Given.

The two year old so of Kodi Bear has been seen seven times this year knocking on the door in all but one of his races and thee big fielded events suit him perfectly.

Having landed three of his first four events, with his win at Glorious Goodwoodin July showing just how could he can be when running away with a competitive handicap.

Off the back of that he went over to Naas for the 22 runner Ballyhane Stakes where he finished a narrow fourth behind the Group winner Sacred Bridge.

Since then he has been twice more winning the 20 runner Premier Yearling Stakes at York's Ebor meeting and then last time out he was a narrow second behind the progressive Harrow in another smart race.

Handling soft ground and being and course and distance winner just add the growing list of pro's for this horse going well on Saturday.

The Group Three Autumn Stakes is another nice event on the day and it looks to be a once horse race with Coroebus for Charlie Appleby looking very tough to beat.

The two year old son of Dubawi is a very exciting talent, having only been seen twice to date, but on both occasions showing unreal amounts of ability and promise.

The colt made his debut over a mile at Newmarket on the July course when going on to land a decent Novice Stakes, with the second, fourth and fifth since getting off the mark aswell.

Coroebus, last month stepped up to the Group Two Royal Lodge Stakes where he looked home and hosed with a furlong to go but late on was collared on the line by the progressive Royal Patronage for Mark Johnston.

Dropping back in class today, he holds the leading form entering the race and it would be a shock to see him get beat.

The second race of the afternoon at York on ITV sees the return of the exciting Bay Bridge who although 15lb higher than his last win looks a group horse in the making.

The three year old showed ability on both his starts as a juvenile, finishing third at Yarmouth on soft ground over 7f on debut.

He then went Kempton in November and finished another good fourth behind the smart Rebel's Romance for Charlie Appleby, who has since landed a Group Two in Meydan.

Back for this season he stepped up in trip on seasonal debut at Newcastle over 1m2f and got off the mark for his career in fine style landing a Novice Stakes by five lengths, beating some smart horses.

Making his handicap debut last time out he was an emphatic winner again off a mark of 90 in the London Gold Cup at Newbury.

Having picked up a slight setback he now makes his first appearance since May and if being the horse we think he is, he lands the hat-trick.

The feature race of the afternoon is the Group One Dewhurst Stakes and there is only one horse for us that can take this race and its the superstar Native Trail.

The son of Oasis Dream was a 210,000gns purchase as a two year old and after that made his debut at Sandown over 7f when seeing off the Acomb Stakes and Royal Lodge Stakes winner Royal Patronage by four lengths.

Stepped up to the Group Two Superlative Stakes next time out he improved again to see off the smart Masekela and Dhabab to take the event close home.

Appleby normally saves his best two year old for the Group One Vincent O'Brien National Stakes at the Curragh across Irish Champions weekend having won the race with the likes of Quorto and Pinatubo in the past.

Native Trail went across the Irish Sea last time out and saw off the exciting Point Lonsdale by close to four lengths in another taking performance.

The colt has just gone from strength to strength this term and is a very exciting animal for next term aswell but he has a huge chance to round off the season unbeaten and a dual Group One winner by winning this event.

The final race from the Knavesmire on Saturday is the Coral Sprint Trophy Handicap over six furlongs and we are going with the David O'Meara trained Gulliver.

The seven year old is a horse that is extremely frustrating but when finding him on a going day he is a very smart sprinter.

His form is massively up and down being tried on quick ground most of the year, but when getting his ideal soft conditions he is a big player and he gets that in this event.

The last time he was seen on soft ground was when he finished a neck second in the Stewards Cup at Glorious Goodwood.

He has since finished a good fourth in a big fielded handicap at the Curragh, but only 2lb higher than his run at Goodwood he looks the each play in the race.

Another nice event on the Newmarket card is the Cesarewitch Handicap over a marathon trip and this season we are siding with the Willie Mullins trained Burning Victory.

The master Irish jumps trainer has a superb record in this race taking out the last three renewals and we find it hard to look past one of his horses again this term.

The five year old mare Burning Victory was a smart horse on the flat in France before joining Mullins back in 2019 and she was then sent over hurdles.

Making her hurdles debut in February 2020, she landed a Grade Three Juvenile hurdle at the first time of asking and off the back of that went to the Cheltenham festival and took the Grade One Juvenile Hurdle after a last flight fall from Goshen handed her the race.

Off the back of that she was not seen for over a year through injury but returned at the Punchestown festival in May this year when being thrown into the Grade One Mares Champion Hurdle and she was totally overwhelmed for her first start back.

Sent back on the flat in June she bolted up in a 17f over in France and then came back over to Ireland for the Galway Handicap Hurdle, where she was a credible seventh in a big field.

Last time out she was seen winning another nice event on the flat over in France and having been kept under the radar this Cheltenham festival winner has all the attributes you need to go close in a Cesarewitch.

Big player at 10/1.
