Last year’s shock Nunthorpe winner, went on to have his sights set for the Breeders’ Cup and wasn’t disgraced to be 4th at Santa Anita.
Returned to action for the season with a solid 2nd in a higher grade than this on slow ground and that outing should set him up nicely for this.
14:05 THE HILARY NEEDLER TROPHY EBF FILLIES' CONDITIONS STAKES - Maw Lam
Scored in cosy fashion with a bit in hand on debut, overcoming a slow start to come through the field and win nicely.
14:25 THE BETFRED NIFTY 50 HANDICAP STAKES - Divine Grace
Scored in nice fashion to take a handicap back in September of last year and then went on to be 2nd on her last outing of the season.
Put away for the winter she returned to action recently to be a good 3rd carrying a hefty weight at Goodwood, her absence and 10st+ on her back just getting to her late on.
14:40 THE bet365 TWO YEAR OLD TROPHY EBF CONDITIONS STAKES - Moving Force
A Mehmas juvenile and the sires crop tend to be highly precocious and incredibly speedy.
Scored on debut over course and distance impressively and looks the type that will be able to back that up.
15:00 THE BETFRED LESTER PIGGOTT FILLIES' STAKES - Caernarfon
It looks to be worth taking a risk on Caernarfon coming back to form in this race. Last year’s 1000 Guineas 4th and Oaks 3rd looked a decent filly last season but has failed to follow up those efforts since.
She was well beaten when last seen over 10 furlongs but drops back in grade now and looks unexposed over 12 furlongs having only attempted the trip once in what was arguably her career best performance.
15:15 THE bet365 HANDICAP STAKES - Billyb
Some wayward form at the back end of last season has seen Billyb drop to what looks a very workable handicap mark.
A winner off this rating back in July of 2022, his recent form has seen him slide down the ratings but he hinted at a revival with a good comeback run to be 5th at York last month.
15:35 THE BETFRED JOHN OF GAUNT STAKES - Pogo
The winner of this race back in 2022, Pogo is a real 7 furlong horse and despite his age showed he still retains plenty of ability, mixing it in Group Two events last season and coming 2nd in a listed event when last seen.
