The first runner of the day on ITV goes in the six furlong October Auction Stakes and the Marcus Tregoning trained Perotto looks a nice price at 9/1.

The two year old gelding has been consistent for the majority of his campaign this term placing in five of his last six events and going on to win two of them.

He was stepped up to Group Two company at Doncaster last time out in the Flying Childers and struggled but dropping back down to this auction contest, he holds some strong form.

More Listed events follow and the Rous Stakes over five furlongs sees a classy field of sprinters head to post and from a value angle Maid In India is our selection.

The Eric Alston trained mare has been a frequent runner in these five furlong events and holds some nice form this season when being in and around the frame.

Having finished third on good to soft at Haydock on seasonal debut she has come on from that to get involved in better races and off the back of his fourth of 14 at The Curragh in the Group One Flying Five Stakes last time out she should be feared.

Moonlight Paris looks an attractive bet in the Fillies Handicap over 1 mile 2 furlongs with the John Gosden trained runner showing good signs of potential.

The daughter of Camelot has only been seen four times during her career, getting off the mark on debut last year and this season has been racing in tough company.

Two starts ago over course and distance the filly finished second behind exciting stablemate Zahratty and off the back of that she is a live player, especialy if getting soft/heavy ground.

Logician for John Gosden looks to be one of the bankers of the day for Punters in the Group Three Cumberland Lodge Stakes.

The four year old grey was superb last term winning all five of his events with ease, including the Group Two Great Volitgeur at York's Ebor meeting and rounding of the season by landing the Group One St Leger.

Since that win the Khalid Abdullah owned horse had been off the track for almost a year, suffering a severely life threatening illness during the winter, that gave connections questions on whether he would ever race again.

Fortunately for the team he was back in action and better than ever in a two runner Conditions Stakes at Doncaster and having come out of the race in good health, Gosden and connections have picked this race as his next stepping stone.

Days: 14

The only race of the day on ITV from Redcar is the Listed Two Year Old Trophy and with such a big field set to go to post we have two selections.

The first is the Ralph Beckett trained Lullaby Moon and the handler is in superb form having 13 winners from 44 runners which sees him with a 29.55% strike rate.

The filly has raced four times winning twice so far and last time out finished a solid third in a good Group Three at Ayr, with the winner since coming out and franking the form in the Group One Cheveley Park Stakes.

At a much bigger price the Richard Fahey trained Blind Beggar can enter the frame having some very consistent form in her four runs to date.

The gelding finished fourth of 11 on debut back in July, behind some nice types and since then has placed in all three events.

She finished third in a maiden behind stablemate Umm Kulthum and then franked that with a second at Catterick next time out before again finishing runner up ay Haydock, with the fourth in that race since going on to win a nice event.

Place claims.

The only Group One of the day is for the Fillies over a mile, with the Sun Chariot Stakes been won by some superstars in the past.

The three year old is set to take on Champers Elysees who has been a shining light for Johnny Murtagh, but we fancy Peaceful for Aidan O'Brien

The daughter of Galileo was a smart juvenile winning at Thurles on her second start and then finishing a narrow second at Newmarket behind Born With Pride in a Listed event.

She has come on leaps and bounds now a year older and on her first start landed the Irish 1000 Guineas, seeing off Fancy Blue in the Process.

She was stepped up to 1 mile 2 furlongs for the French Oaks was outstayed by her nemesis but going back to a mile and having a short break should give her everything she needs to win the contest.

Last time she dropped back to a mile and ran cracker, narrowly being beaten by Champers Elysees in the Group one Matron Stakes and although needing to reverse the form this three year old is a serious talent.

The big fielded Challenge Cup Handicap over seven furlongs sees 18 runners go to post and with that in mind we have two selections.

The first pick is the Clive Cox trained River Nymph and with the trainer having a fine season to dat there is no reason why this three year old can't run another big race.

The colt has been consistent this term with one place and two wins from his three runs and now seeking a hat-trick off the back of a good win at Newbury on soft ground lat time out, he has to be respected.

At a bigger price is the Charlie Fellowed trained King Ottakar who although hitting the frame has not finished off his races and now on attractive mark should feature.

Since finishing third in the Hampton Court Stakes at Royal Ascot last season he has not been able to replicate that form in handicaps.

However, now on a mark of 100 which is his lowest for some time he should be able to outrun his double figure odds at a track he has performed at in the past.

The final runner of the day on ITV runs in the Group Three Bengough Stakes over six furlongs and although having his first start of the season Cape Byron should be a class above.

The six year old landed back to back wins over course and distance last season when winning the Victoria cup an then backing that up in the Wokingham Stakes handicap at the royal meeting.

On his second to last start he won again at Ascot in this race on soft ground and in similar conditions he has to be on the shortlist once more.
