The first race of the afternoon on ITV from Haydock is the Class 5 Handicap over 1m4f and In The Breeze for trainer Mick Appleby looks to have a big chance.

This race looks to lack a lot of class and with that in mind we are giving a chance to a horse with a falling mark who has been racing in better company of late.

Looking through his form he seems to perform best on quick ground and in the last year he has only been seen once on proper quick ground in August on the July Course when a good second to Sarsons Risk over 1m4f in a Class 4 Handicap.

Since then he has been ran on the all weather or slow ground and with his mark dropping to 75, still not liking the ground he finished a fair third of six at Windsor last time out behind Fast Steps.

Dropping 1lb to a mark of 74 and dropping into a Class 5 event having been running in Class 3 and 4s, he could be worth taking a chance on.

Goodwood's first event on Saturday on ITV is the Listed Festival Stakes over 1m2f and we have been waiting for the return of Francesco Clemente.

Unbeaten on all three of his starts as a three year old when beating Secret State easily on debut at Newmarket over a mile, he then backed that up at Sandown next time out when upped to 1m2f, with the second since going on to win a big handicap at Glorious Goodwood.

Landing the hat-trick when last seen on handicap debut on the July Course off a mark of 99 when bolting up by nine lengths, he is a group horse in waiting and this looks a perfect starting point for this season.

Next up at Haydock is the Class 2 Handicap over two miles and dropping back to a more workable mark on quicker ground makes Themaxwecan interesting.

A winner in August off a mark of 92 at Ascot in a Class 2 Handicap over two miles during the Shergar Cup meeting, he was then upped 2lb on his final run of the season at Newmarket and did not seem to run his race in the Cesarewitch Trial.

Starting this term off at Musselburgh in the Queen's Cup off the same mark when looking to need the run, he has been dropped to a mark that is 1lb higher than his last winning mark and getting his preferred good ground he can get back to form, with him being at peak fitness.

The second and final race from Goodwood is the Harroways Handicap over 7f and at a price the Charlie Johnston trained Urban Sprawl looks interesting.

Winning back to back races at the back end of last season at Sandown and Ascot over 7f off marks of 79 and 81, he has been seen twice this season off 84.

He made his seasonal debut at Musselburgh when a good second to the progressive Gincident for Richard Fahey and then next time out off the same mark on soft ground finished a fair third at Chester.

Running off 1lb higher here getting back to better ground he still looks to have juice in his mark and should outrun his odds at 12/1.

The big handicap event of the afternoon from Haydock is the Betfred Silver Bowl over a mile and Covey for John & Thady Gosden could have too much class for this field.

A well bred son of Frankel he made his debut at Southwell in April when finishing a good second behind the talented Zoology for James Ferguson.

Getting off the mark next time out at Newmarket on good to soft ground in a Maiden Stakes over 7f, he then went to Newcastle under a penalty and went on to bolt up again.

Stepping into handicap company for the first time off a mark of 90, Gosden has ran a few nice ones in this before and hopefully he believes he is better than a mark of 90 with potentially a big future for this horse.

Moving over to York for their first event of the afternoon on ITV and it sees the William Hill Epic Boost Handicap over 5f and Korker off the back of his run over C&D looks the one to be on in what looks an easier event.

The Karl Burke trained gelding is not the easiest horse to train in the world but at this track he gives his best running but he does need to learn to break from the stalls better then he has.

A horse who has a great record at the track with form figures of 272132, with his runs at the track last season seeing him win a race in May last year off 95 and then a close third behind Royal Aclaim in the Listed City Of Walls Stakes.

Having put in few bad runs at the back end of last season and on his seasonal debut when looking like a prep for this race his mark has dropped to 100 and getting fast ground when last seen nine days ago over C&D he was an unlucky second in a good handicap event, going down by half a length to Regional who got the first run.

If not falling out the stalls again he should run well off 3lb higher.

One of the nicer events on the Haydock card this weekend is the Group Two Sandy lane Stakes over 6f and although Little Big Bear is respected down in trip and grade, Bradsell for Archie Watson is a big player and our selection being a bigger price.

An emphatic winner at York on seasonal debut in a Novice Stakes bolting up by nine lengths, he was last seen at Royal Ascot taking the Group Two Coventry Stakes with more in hand at the line.

The form of that race has been massively franked with the likes of Persian Force, Blackbeard and Royal Scotsman all going on to perform well throughout last year in good Group races.

Bradsell was seen just once more last term when only fourth in the Group One Phoenix Stakes behind the winner Little Big Bear.

It was revealed that he had picked up an injury in the race which was the reason for his poor run and he was put away for the rest of the season.

Returning this term at Ascot in the Group Three Commonwealth Cup Trial he travelled beautifully into the race but when asked to win the race just showed his time off the track when obviously not 100% fit.

Set to strip much fitter for this race he should go close and we expect him to reverse the form with Cold Case.

The feature race of the afternoon from York is the Group Three Bronte Cup Fillies' Stakes and Mimikyu for John & Thady Gosden on ratings should take all the beating.

Starting last season off at Haydock in May when second to stablemate Darmoiselle by a neck in a Maiden Fillies' Stakes over 1m2f, she then went up in trip at the same track and beat the talented Time Lock by a neck on soft ground.

Sent into Handicap company over 1m4f on the July Course she went on to bolt up by six lengths off a mark of of 86, with bigger things to come.

Tried in the Listed Sir Henry Cecil Galtres Stakes at York over 1m4f, she ran too free and spoilt her chance finishing back in seventh with Haskoy and Time Lock battling out first and second.

Upped in trip at Doncaster last time out she revelled in the extra distance over 1m 6 1/2f in the Group Two Park Fillies' Stakes to win the event easily from Group One winner Eshaada and Believe In Love who won this event last term.

Finishing the season in the Group One Champions Fillies & Mares Stakes over 1m4f, she ran no race but putting her into that event showed the credentials the yard thinks she has.

Making her season debut in this event sees her drop in grade and although under a penalty, getting back to better ground over her ideal trip makes her tough to beat.

The final event from Haydock on ITV is the feature Group Two Temple Stakes and we are siding with the Karl Burke trained Dramatised.

The three year old filly Looks a really promising sprinter for the inform yard being extremely green on debut when hanging all over the place over 5f at Newmarket, but showed an emphatic turn of foot to take the race easily in the final furlong.

The form of the race has worked out well with the three behind her all franking it next time out and she went on to keep her unbeaten record next time out at Royal Ascot when taking out the Group Two Queen Mary in taking style.

Sent to York's Ebor meeting she suffered the first loss of her career when running under par in the Group Two Lowther Stakes when only fifth of 12, but that race has worked out well with Mawj back in fourth winning the 1000 Guineas.

Given some time off to freshen up ahead of her trip to Keeneland for the Breeders' Cup, she ran a stormer to finish a length second behind Mischief Magic in the Group One Juvenile Turf Sprint.

Back this season as a three year old she showed big ability this term and hopefully she can kick on again this term.

The feature event of the afternoon from the Curragh is the Group One Irish 2000 Guineas over a mile and having been a big eye-catcher in the English 2000 Guineas Royal Scotsman could take the beating back on better ground.

A very smart juvenile last term when finishing fourth on debut in a hot maiden behind the likes of Noble Style and Walbank, he then went to Goodwood over 6f again and bolted up in a Novice Stakes by five lengths.

Sent to Royal Ascot when a good third in the Group Two Coventry Stakes behind Bradsell and Persian Force, he then went into the Group Two Richmond Stakes at Glorious Goodwood when getting back to winning ways.

Seen twice more before the end of the season he finished a fair fifth of 12 in the Group Two Gimcrack Stakes when now looking like he wanted a step up in trip and getting that in his final event last term in the Group One Dewhurst Stakes when a head second behind Chaldean over 7f.

Showing he stays that trip and arguably would get further, he made his seasonal debut in the Group One 2000 Guineas and was a staying on third when hitting all kinds of trouble in ground he does not like.

He will have to reverse the form with Hi Royal, but we believe if he gets a clear passage he is a better horse than him and hopefully at his peak he is the best in the field.
