Selection - Campanelle

The Group One Prix Morny over six furlongs sees some of the best young sprinters from France, England and this year America battle it out for black type glory.

In this year's renewal we are siding with the US raider Campanelle for trainer Wesley Ward having shown mountains of ability on both her starts to date.

The juvenile made her debut at Gulfstream on firm ground and went on to bolt up in a decent field and unlike previous seasons he was one of few Ward runners to get off the mark at the first time of asking.

She was then sent to Royal Ascot in the Group Two Queen Mary Stakes over five furlongs and beat a solid field of runners and the form has since been franked with second, third, fourth and fifth all running credible races since.

She gets a weight allowance off the colts and if handling the heavy ground should take some beating.

Horses To Follow

Tactical - There is not much between the Andrew Balding trained horse and Campanelle with the juvenile improving with every run this term.

The Queen's colt finished third on debut in a competitive fixture at Newmarket but since then has gone unbeaten, landing the Listed Windsor Castle Stakes and then going on to take the Group Two July Stakes.

Like many in the field there are question marks over whether he will handle the soft conditions but he will surely be in the mix.

Nando Parrado - The Clive Cox trained runner is arguably overpriced off the back of his latest run and the yard think a lot of him.

Having finished a modest fifth on debut at Newmarket, he was sent off at odds of 150/1 for the Group Two Coventry Stakes at Royal Ascot and caused a huge shock when winning the event.

Cox has some nice juveniles this term and he believes this colt to be one of his best.
