Friday Stateside Selections - 12/02/21

Our first selection of the day comes in Race 4 at Gulfstream over five furlongs with No Commission looking overpriced in the betting off the back of what he did last time out.

The three year old gelding has been seen twice in his career, both times over six furlongs, making is debut in December and finishing a bold second.

Last time out he got off the mark in impressive style seeing off a decent field by five lengths and now dropping to five furlongs he is still on an upward curve.

He handles Gulfstream extremely well and he showed last time out that he does not lack any pace, so the drop to this trip could bring even more improvement.

Another each way selection at a nice price comes from Tampa Bay in Race 6 and this filly could turn out to be something very special.

The filly made her debut back in December finishing a good second at a nice price in a 51/2 Furlongs event and since then she has backed up that run by getting off the mark last time out.

She stepped up in trip for her win in January over course and distance and off the back of that she won't have to improve too much to be involved again.

Her trainer II Robert O'Connor has been in superb form of late with one winner from just two runners over the last 14 days which sees him pose a strike rate of 50%

The final US selection on Friday comes from Gulfstream in Race 6 over six furlongs and 110 yards and Secret Potion for the inform Chad Brown looks a big player.

The handler has been in some superb form over the last two weeks landing seven winners from just 17 runners which sees him currently running at a strike rate of 41.18%.

Secret Potion finished an exciting second on debut but has since been able to back that up in his last two runs, but with jockey Irad Ortiz Jr back on board it should see him go close again.

He drops down in standard for this event and it would be surprise if he did not take advantage of it.
