Friday Night Under The Lights At Dundalk Races

17:00 - Love Dovee

The first horse from Dundalk comes in the Fillies Maiden contest over 1 mile and we have gone for the Joseph O'Brien trained Lovee Dovee to land the spoils.

This three year old filly made a good start to her racing life when finishing a modest fourth on her debut at this track and now being stepped up an extra furlong he could be the one to watch.

He showed signs of ability when finishing fourth in a big field and if improving from that could have a real chance for the informer trainer.

17:30 - Hasselnott

The next horse from Dundalk comes in the Handicap contest over 1 mile and we have gone for the Anthony McCann trained Hasslenott to win the race.

This six year old has a real chance off the back his recent form at Dundalk winning four starts ago and then finishing second twice since then only being out the top three once in four starts.

He loves racing at this track but will have to step things up a notch from running in Claiming races to now be in a handicap contest. One mile will suit.

18:00 - Jered Maddox

The third horse from Dundalk comes in the Auction Maiden contest over 7 furlongs and we have gone for the David Marnane trained Jered Maddox to land the spoils.

This exciting three year old is one of the most progressive horses in the field having two starts to date, both of them coming at Dundalk over this distance today.

His debut fourth read well and he showed a fair bit of scope to improve. He did this on his second outing finishing an even closer second and if doing the same will land his first contest.

19:00 - Crest Of A Wave

The fourth horse from Dundalk comes in the Division II Handicap contest over 7 furlongs and we have gone for the Charles O'Brien four year old to take the race.

This filly on her four previous starts had taken a lot of time to warm to racing but then on her latest outing she started to get the hang of things and finished a good second on her first time running at this distance.

Back at seven furlongs today and much more experience behind her could see the filly go close again on her fifth start.

20:00 - Chaparral Dream

The penultimate horse of the day comes in the Apprentice Handicap over 1 mile 4 furlongs and we have gone for the Adrian McGuinness trained Chaparral Dream.

This four year old got off the mark in style last time out finishing strong and blitzing the field for his first win in 19 starts. He has gone up nine pounds for that but if finding similar form from that handicap win he will be tough to beat.

20:30 - Reckless Lad

The final horse from Dundalk comes in the Handicap contest over 1 mile 2 1/2 furlongs and we have gone for the Patrick Martin trained Reckless Lad to land the spoils.

This veteran nine year old loves racing at Dundalk and has not competed anywhere else in his last eight runs. In those runs he has only finished out the top three twice finishing first once and having four seconds.

He has course and distance form and although he might be more exposed than the rest of the runners he makes up for that in experience and will be tough to beat.
