Salisbury

5:05 Ghost Queen

The fourth race of the day at Salisbury is the Draintech Tankers Nursey Handicap and once again, Simon Crisford can be successful through another juvenile in the form of GHOST QUEEN.

Owned by Sheikh Juma Dalmook Al Maktoum, he made a bold bid in a 1m nursery at Chelmsford last week. Dropped to 7f and off the same mark, will surely be a big player.

5:40 Thriving

Next up, is the Irish Stallion Farms EBF Fillies’ Nursery Handicap, and THRIVING can be excused for running below par in a listed content last time out.

Prior to that, she finished a close fourth to Princess Power at Newmarket, who has since gone on to bigger and better things.

She has won over this trip at Chepstow earlier in the season, and has also won over the minimum trip of 5f at Beverley. She can get back to winning ways here for Roger Varian and Jack Mitchell.

6:10 Quick Recovery

The Signs in Motion limited handicap looks a wide open contest, but QUICK RECOVERY is hard to rule out. She has won three times at 6f on good to firm ground, and on the all-weather.

Jim Boyle’s 3yo finished a good fourth to Indian Tygress at Kempton this time last week after overcoming a wide draw, and can return to the winners enclosure here. Charlie Bennett takes the ride.

6:40 Swift and Sure

Clive Cox can double up here at Salisbury with SWIFT AND SURE in the Excalibur Communications EBF Fillies’ Novice Stakes.

Placed twice in three sprint races, last time he was fourth in a big field at Newbury on good to firm, and sets the clear standard here.

Foaled 1st Feb, she is still unexposed and can break her maiden at the fourth time of asking. Only one of three in the race who have experience.

7:10 Foxtrot Lady

The final race of the day sees the smallest field head to post for the British Stallion Studs EBF Conditions Stakes.

FOXTROT LADY is the pick here for Andrew Balding, and he saddles this progressively filly after almost taking listed honours at Pontefract on her last start.

Nebo has been very up and down and possibly hasn’t trained on, whilst Raid failed to give his running last time out, so red-hot Jason Watson, who takes 3lbs off, can land the spoils aboard Foxtrot Lady in the finale.
