Sunday French Picks

13:33 - Victor Ludorum

The drop back to 1m may prove the key to the 2020 Poule D'Assai Des Poulains hero bouncing back to form.

Andre Fabre’s son of the late Shamardal can be excused for his defeat on return as he needed the run last term and he travelled as well as any before fading in the Group 1 Prix D'ispahan.

The form of that race has worked out brilliantly with Tilsit (second) landing the Summer Mile at Ascot last weekend and Victor Ludorum now steps down into Group3 company.

Class edge.

14:50 - Black Lives Matter

Atomic Force (1/2) should prove hard to beat here but at such short odds he is worth opposing with 25/1 chance Black Lives Matter.

This colt stayed on from the pack to chase home the favourite last time out and a switch to a softer surface provides reason for the distance between the pair to shorten - especially if Pasquier isn’t given another easy time out in-front.

He stayed well when winning over slightly further on soft at Longchamp on his penultimate start therefore a fast pace would be ideal.

15:25 - Creative Flair

Charlie Appleby has an outstanding record when sending his horses to France and the Dubawi filly Creative Flair looks a cracking bet if she handles the soft conditions.

Her UK form stacks up nicely and she is a sure stayer at the 1m trip which will play to her strengths inside the final furlong.

William Buick rides, plenty to like.
