12:30 - A Wave Of The Sea

The first race of the day on an action packed day of racing at Fairyhouse is the Grade Three Juvenile Hurdle over two miles and we like the look of A Wave Of The Sea.

This Joseph O'Brien trained three year old has been superb in his three runs over hurdles this season finishing second on debut and being unbeaten in his other two runs ever since.

He won a nice event at Punchestown before bolting up again at Down Royal in a tougher event that saw him being bought by JP McManus and could be a special youngster.

13:00 - Envoi Allen

The first of the Grade Ones on Sunday is the Royal Bond Novice Hurdle over two miles and the leading light in this division Envoi Allen is our Selection.

This five year old gelding did not put a foot wrong in bumpers last season winning all four of his races in good style including the Grade One Champion Bumper at the Cheltenham festival.

He is highly thought of and has been tipped up by many racing pundits in the run up to the jumps season to go well over hurdles and he made an impressive start at Down Royal that he is sure to come on for.

13:30 - Samcro

The second black type race of the afternoon is the Drinmore Novice Chas over two miles four furlongs and we have sided with the superstar Samcro.

As a novice hurdler this seven year old was superb being winning his first four contests including the Grade One Ballymore Novices Hurdle at the festival.

He is now Novice Chasing and made a brilliant start to life over the bigger obstacles by romping home at Down Royal at the start of the month never coming off the bridle.

He looks to be the horse of old that surely runs a big race again here.

14:05 - Aherlow

The big staying contest of the afternoon is the Porterstown Handicap Chase over three miles five furlongs and we like the look of the Henry De Bromhead trained Aherlow.

This seven year old has been third on all three of his starts this season showing clear staying ability and still being low in the weights gives him another big chance here.

Last time out he was a smart third in the Cork Grand National and only being two pounds higher for that makes him dangerous with the winner rocketing through the weights for this race.

14:40 - Bacardys

The big Grade One of the day is the Hatton's Grace Hurdle over two and half miles and we fancy the three time black type winner Bacardys for Willie Mullins.

This eight year old now solely going over hurdles for the season could be a strong candidate for the Stayers Hurdle at the festival as he made a great start to his campaign last time out.

The gelding caused a huge shock at Navan in the Lismullen Hurdle when romping to victory beating Apple's Jade easily and we think history will repeat itself here.

15:10 - Ciel De Niege and Janidil

This Handicap Hurdle fields some really exciting runners that are looking to make a name for themselves this season and the Willie Mullins trained Ciel De Niege and Janidil look to be those horses.

Jandil is a smart five year old gelding that raced to a good standard in France last season before making his hurdles debut at Tipperary in Ireland last month and got off to a winning start.

He is stepped up for his first try in a handicap off an opening mark of 125 and looked very useful getting off the mark at Down Royal and although heavier should go well again.

Ciel De Niege is another that has recently been bought by JP McManus but looks one to watch racing on his seasonal debut at the Cheltenham festival last season and finishing a strong third in the Grade Three Fred Winter Hurdle.

He could be a superstar.

15:40 - Somme Soldier

The final runner of the afternoon is the bumper over two miles and Somme Soldier for trainer Peter Fahey will look to bring the house down for us.

The unraced four year old has a lovely pedigree that suggets that the bookies have overpriced this horse if taking to the conditions.

Peter Fahey has been hit with a huge blow with his stable star being ruled out for the season but we are hoping he can have another star with this runner.
