A second season novice who’s returned too timber this season in a rich vein of form. Scoring a maiden by a wide margin back in November, she backed that up in style in Listed company at Punchestown.

Upped into a Grade Three when last seen she scampered away from her rivals with ease on deep ground here at Leopardstown over 2.5 miles. She’s shaped like this longer trip will suit and she cuts through soft ground with ease.

In receipt of 7lbs from the geldings, she looks to have a huge chance to put it up to the less experienced favourite Predator’s Gold.

A Grade Three winner in France who made her stable debut for Willie Mullins here at Leopardstown over Christmas in a narrow defeat to Kala Conti.

That being her first outing for 7 months, she also conceded 3lbs to the winner and likely will be much sharper for having that outing under her belt. Gets a handy weight allowance from the boys and should reverse the form with Kala Conti now on level weights.

Looks a bit of value to be hitting the frame and has a good deal more experience than some of her rivals.

It’s hard to oppose the favourite in the Irish Arkle as Marine Nationale arrives here unbeaten under rules having won two bumpers, two Grade Ones over hurdles, including the Supreme, and his chase debut.

A lethal performance in his first outing over fences here at Leopardstown saw one of the best novice chase performances of the season and he should confirm the Supreme form with Facile Vega who’s looking like his jumping suffers over the minimum trip.

Likely to make up plenty of multiples over the weekend and should take this in his stride on the way to Cheltenham.

Improved markedly for being moved up to a staying trip when breaking her maiden over 22 furlongs at Punchestown last year and followed up that success with a handicap success over the same trip.

Didn’t shape badly on seasonal return over 2.5 miles to be 3rd but took another step forward when coming 3rd in the competitive Pertemps Qualifier at Leopardstown at Christmas. Only being beaten by .75 of a length by a rival carrying an extremely light weight.

The heavy ground taxed her stamina too much when last seen but on a slightly better going here she can have a big say again off only a 3lbs higher rating.

Willie Mullins’ dual Gold Cup hero of 2023 returns to Leopardstown to defend his Irish Gold Cup crown and off the back of his emphatic victory in the Savills Chase it’s hard to oppose him.

Despite a few queries over his status after being beaten into 3rd on his comeback in the John Durkan behind Fastorslow, he put his best foot forward again over Christmas to win by an eye-watering 23 lengths.

Fastorslow has gotten the better of him twice now but he looked imperious at Christmas and should confirm his status as Gold Cup favourite here.

This 7 year olds form can be a bit ‘in and out’ but he’s seemingly taken to fences well this season despite unseating on his chase debut.

He quickly put that behind him and scored at huge odds of 50/1 when beating My Mate Mozzie in a Beginners’ Chase, who has since boosted the form with a win at Cheltenham and a 2nd in a Grade One.

After scoring another novice chase, he was then sent for a listed handicap but more aggressive tactics saw him weaken away and pull up following a bad mistake.

He shaped much better over course and distance at Christmas over course and distance to be 2nd just finding a better handicapped rival too good. Likely to have a hot pace to aim at again, patient tactics should see him go close again.

A Dream To Share and Redemption Day hold a chunk of the market having their second season in bumpers but both have had their injury issues and might just be vulnerable to something at a bigger price.

My Great Mate looks to have gone under the radar with him not being seen for 115 days but his runs have been well spaced out in his career with 78 and 72 day breaks between his previous outings.

Narrowly getting the better of Fleur In The Park when last seen in a bumper at Punchestown, that rival went on to be 2nd in a listed bumper behind the more fancied The Enabler in this contest. Freshness might be the key to this and despite him looking like the last in the Mullins string, his form looks good on paper and he could outrun a huge price.

With 33/1 on offer he looks a good play at a price to make the frame having won two bumpers already and looking at home on soft ground.
