The Group One Dubai Turf at Meydan features 16 runners, and we have chosen Master Of The Seas as our selection for this contest.

The five-year-old goes off a nice mark of 117 and arrives in good form, having won here in January in the Group Two Zabeel Mile, seeing off Shelir by half a length in the process. Followed that with third in the Group One Jebel Hatta here earlier this month, finishing behind El Drama and Alfareeq but was unsuited by the way the race panned out.

Should enter calculations here for the duo of jockey James Doyle and trainer Charlie Appleby and at around 17/2, the gelding looks a good bet considering his experience here and group winners back in the UK.

The eighth race of Saturday’s Dubai World Cup meeting at Meydan is the Group One Dubai Sheema Classic, over 1m 4f. Ten runners go to post, and we have chosen to take on the favourite Equinox with Charlie Appleby’s Rebel’s Romance.

The five-year-old has recorded five wins in a row prior to being declared for the Dubai Sheema Classic, winning well at the likes of Newmarket, Goodwood and most recently Keeneland when landing the Grade One Breeders’ Cup Turf by just under three lengths to Stone Age.

He stormed clear on that occasion and looks set to go again off 121 in this contest for top trainer Appleby and make it six wins from six. William Buick is booked to ride.

The final race of the Meydan card is the Group One Dubai World Cup over 1m 2f, where 15 runners go to post. We the like the look of a couple of runners in this contest, with the first of those being four-year-old Crown Pride.

The colt comes into this race having won the Group Two UAE Derby here last year, beating Summer Is Tomorrow at 11/1 by just under three lengths. He was just over two lengths behind winner and fellow runner Panthalassa in the Saudi Cup 28 days ago and goes off a nice mark of 116 for the Dubai World Cup following that run. Had every chance in that contest and can go well again here off a price of about 12/1 with the winning experience being able to help him.

Looks a good each-way claim after three second-place finishes in a row prior to the Saudi Cup race.

The other runner we like the look of in the Dubai World Cup is the smart four-year-old Geoglyph.

Geoglyph is a winner of two races back in Japan, first for former trainer Takaki Iwato at Sapporo before landing grade one success at Nakayama last April over 1m 2f for current trainer Tetsuya Kimura.

Was a narrow one and a quarter lengths behind Panthalassa in the Saudi Cup 28 days ago and looks able to run a good race here at a price of around 14/1 and make solid each-way claims off 118 here.
