Age: 3
Weight: 9-6
OR: 99
Days: 65

The first selection of the day comes in the bet365 Handicap over 1m2f and we are siding with New London to bounce back to winning ways.

The three year old colt has been seen three times during his career, making his juvenile debut in October at Newmarket on soft ground over 1m2f when learning a lot on the job to get up close home.

Saved for his three year old campaign he returned over the same course and distance and beat off a nice type for the same owners.

Stepped up in trip when last seen with a view to the Epsom Derby he ran in the Chester Vase over 1m4f and was well beaten back in second behind Changingoftheguard, who went on to run well in the Derby and since win at Royal Ascot in the Group Two King Edward VII.

Back in trip to a distance he is unbeaten at and now in handicap company, he looks better than his mark of 99 and should get back on track.

Age: 4
Weight: 9-1
OR: 96
Days: 13

The next event we are going to cover is the bet365 Trophy over 1m6f and we are siding with the Sir Mark Prescott trained Summer's Knight.

A very progressive horse in handicaps for the specialist trainer, Last season he stepped up in trip on just his second start to 14f and got off the mark at Doncaster.

Off the back of that win the gelding went on to win four more races throughout the season, whilst placing in another which saw his mark rise to 88 from 63.

Starting this term off at Newmarket over 14f off a career high mark of 97, he looked to need the run but last time out bounced back to form when a staying on fifth of 20 in the Northumberland Plate.

Back down to 14f off the same mark, he does have to reverse some form but that run was very taking and meets some rivals again on much better terms when it comes to handicap marks.

The feature race of the afternoon at Newmarket on Friday is the Group One Falmouth Stakes and disappointingly only five runners go to post.

Inspiral is the 1/4 favourite to land the event but with that too short to put up we have looked in the betting without market and put up the Andrew Balding trained Sandrine to outrun her odds of 18/1 and betting without odds of 10/3.

The outsider of the field she seems very underestimated in the market as we fell there are holes in the other horses in the without market.

An extremely smart juvenile she won all three of her first starts, landing the hat-trick at this meeting over six furlongs in the Group Two Duke Of Cambridge Stakes.

Rounding off last season she was seen twice more, losing her unbeaten record at York when second in the Group Two Lowther Stakes and then placed again in the Group One Cheveley Park Stud.

Back this season and upped to a mile she has found things slightly tougher, finishing fifth in the Group One 1000 Guineas and last time out in the Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot could only stay on into seventh.

She is worth a final go at the mile and getting back to a track she handles well with it being the last time she won, she could be overpriced.

The penultimate selection of the afternoon on day two of the July Cup meeting comes in the Class 3 Handicap over seven furlongs and Nizaaka for Jane Chapple-Hyam could go close.

The four year old filly started to get the hang of things at the back end of last term placing at Redcar and Chelmsford over seven furlongs and then finally got off the mark on her final start of last term at Wolverhampton in a Novice Stakes, bolting up by close to nine lengths.

Returning this season at Newbury on Fillies' Handicap debut she went down by a short head off a mark of 72 and then last time out went over course and distance and landed a nice Class 3 handicap event.

Only up 5lb to a mark of 80 she might have more under the bonnet and looks the one to beat.

The final event of the afternoon at on the July Course is the Class 3 Handicap over five furlongs and Celsius for Tom Clover could have a part to play.

Being in some decent in 2020 he hit a career high mark of 91 and has been struggling since then with his handicap mark rapidly falling.

Getting back down to 78 he scored at Ascot in April on his first run of the season and only up 4lb for that and has been kept fresh for this event, he holds every chance if in the same form.

Big chance if still being better than his mark.
