13:50 - Lil Rockerfeller 6/1 & Mancini 14/1

The first race of the second day is the Goodwood Handicap over the marathon trip of 2 mile 4 1/2 furlongs and with such a big field set to go to post we have two selections.

Lil Rockerfeller is our first selection and the eight year old is looking to make it back to back wins in this contest after bolting home last year and although up 17lbs since that win should outstay the field.

The other fancy at a bigger price is is the Jonathan Portman trained Mancini and he heads into this contest after a good run in the Ascot stakes over this trip and then last time out scoring over 2 miles at York.

Both runners have strong frame chances but will both have to give career bests, which they are more than capable of doing.

14:25 - Three Comets 28/1

Another Class 2 Handicap and this time over 1 mile 4 furlongs and we have gone for one of the outsiders in the betting market from the Roger Varian yard.

Three Comets has been saved for this race this season after running to a poor standard in the Derby trial at Lingfield who was won by the eventual winner at Epsom by Anthony Van Dyck.

As a two year old Three Comets placed three times and got off the mark in his other run but he needs to find that form to be involved in this one but it looks as if the trainer has been seriously planning this all season.

15:00 - Liberty Beach 7/4

The first big race of the day is the Molecomb Group 3 Stakes and in this sprint event over five furlongs the favourite Liberty Beach for trainer John Quinn looks that she will take all the beating.

This juvenile has raced four times in her career scoring on three of those runs and when going in search of the hat-trick was a disappointing fourth.

Last time out was her stand out performance in a Listed contest at Sandown where she beat some good horses that day and although stepping up in class she looks the one to beat.

15:35 - Circus Maximum 5/2

The big race of the day on the second day at Glorious Goodwood is the Group 1 Sussex Stakes and this contest over seven furlongs is one of the features of the five day meeting.

With some superbly talented horses set to go to post we have gone with the one that beat most of them last time in Circus Maximus.

The Aidan O'Brien trained colt looks to have a great chance in this one with the rain falling being a massive positive for the St James's Palace Stakes winner at the royal meeting.

He saw off many of this field in wet conditions last time out and now being supplemented for £70,000 for this one, there looks to be more at stake for the owners.

The drop to a mile was a stroke of genius last time out and now he has to do very much the same to go well in this one.

16:10 - Mrs Bouquet

A small fielded fillies stakes comes next and Mrs Bouquet for trainer Mark Johnston looks perfect for this sprint event over five furlongs.

This two year old has been in some smart form heading into this race after landing two quick-fire nursery races at York and Catterick.

She is going in search of the hat-trick for the first time in her career and offers the best form on show going into the race but wouldn't like a huge amount of rain.

16:45 - Bubble And Squeak 14/1

The penultimate race of the day is the Premier Fillies Handicap and Bubble And Squeak for trainer Sylvester Kirk looks like she will enjoy the step back up in trip.

Jason Watson takes the ride who is a very accomplished jockey and he was on her last time out so should know exactly how she is to be ridden.

Last time out she finished fourth in a Class 2 over a mile at Newbury and this step up in trip should bring the best out of her.

17:55 - La Maquina 11/1 & Dirty Rascal 14/1

The final race of the day sees us have two selections at double figure prices with some bookmakers paying extra places than normal.

Our first pick is the George Baker trained La Maquina who is a course and distance winner as we have already seen from the first day, horses for courses is a huge thing at Goodwood.

The gelding has been running to a high standard in most her races this season and although having to overcome a tough draw has a live chance.

Our other tip at a slightly bigger price is Richard Hannon's Dirty Rascal who is very low in the weights and using that to his advantage makes him a player.
