"We were delighted with his run at Newmarket, he made up plenty of ground after a sluggish start on a day where horses were struggling to come from behind, so it was a very good performance.
"We feel the stiff six furlongs at Ascot will suit obviously as he was fifth in the race last year.
"Ideally we would have liked the ground a little bit quicker as he is at his very best on faster ground but ultimately this stiff six on good ground should suit and he will be going there with a chance."
