Chantilly Preview - 19/04/2021

13:20 Du Berceau Maiden Stakes - Atlantigo (4/1)

By Group 2 winner Birchwood and half brother to three winners, the Antoine de Watrigant colt ran on well on debut to finish a close second behind Ma Noire showing plenty of promise once he'd finally got the message.

He'll likely build on that run here and with the form working out, he's the one to watch in the field especially considering how he responded to pressure on debut.

Keep an eye out for Dandy Dinmont who is on debut for Nigel Tinkler and he could spring a minor surprise.

13:50 Prix Sigy Stakes (Group 3) - Ubettabelieveit (10/11)

Three wins from six career runs to date, the Nigel Tinkler trained three year old topped off an impressive 2020 with an impressive third in the Breeders Cup Juvenile Sprint at Keeneland in November.

Prior to that race, the Kodiac colt had beaten Sacred in a Group 2 affair with that horse improving on his first run of the season to win a Group 3 at Newbury on Sunday.

There are some interesting French trained types in the race but the form really doesn't look up to much and if this British raider can train on well, he'll take a heck of a lot of beating in a race which the Brits have a fairly good record in having won two of the last four renewals.

16:20 De La Courtille Stakes - Enemy (11/8)

A nice type for Qatar Racing, the Muharaar colt made a big impression on debut for John Gosden back at the end of 2019 before failing to live up to expectations in the UK.

He's since moved to Francis Graffard's yard and after a close second on yard debut over this C&D in March, he cantered from the back to win with absolute ease on the all weather here last time out.

The switch to turf won't be a problem and he looks like the type who'll love the small step up in trip here and he's a big player.
