The first Breeders’ Cup race at Keeneland on Saturday is the Filly & Mare Sprint where one of our ante-post selections Echo Zulu sits at around 6/1.

She has since drawn the widest stall, so she is going to have to break sharply, but we still believe he holds fair claims at an each-way price.

The daughter of Gun Runner landed the Breeders’ Cup Juvenile Fillies in 2021 and she has continued to progress since despite injury stopping her from racing frequently.

At a bigger price, a chance is taken on Mott’s Obligatory, a 4yo filly who is still improving for Juddmonte.

This daughter of Curlin will likely be sitting in last, so she is definitely one for small-stakes each-way, however she has shown on a number of occasions if they go quick enough up top she will grind them down on the straight.

She was closing on Goodnight Olive last time out and this bigger field should be more to her liking.

The second race on the card on Breeders’ Cup Saturday is the Breeders Cup Turf Sprint where Golden Pal is around 2/1 to make it back to back victories in the race.

An impressive winner as a 3-y-o, Golden Pal is simply the fastest horse in this race, and if he is able to get things his own way on the front-end he may not see another rival.

His heavy defeat at Royal Ascot can be excused as Ortiz tried to regain his racing position after a slow start which ultimately would cost any horse that race.

With extra places on offer it would be rude not to throw a dart at a big price in this.

David Loughnane’s Go Bears Go has been hit and miss this season however when getting his conditions he has still looked a top class sprinter.

His most recent effort in the Champions Sprint saw him attempt to make all in soft conditions which was never going to happen but from stall 5 he may well be in contention at the furlong pole in this.

He ran a blinder in the Juvenile-version last season making quotes of 25/1 look generous.

Both the European and Classic generation do well in this event which points to a big run from Above The Curve.

We believe the price differential between herself and the favourite isn’t justified and her pedigree suggests she will appreciate this scenario.

With a nice draw in 4 she has plenty going for her.

The rank-outsider Miss En Scene is one we wouldn’t rule out of running a big race here for James Ferguson and Qatar Racing.

This filly evidently thrives on a better surface and she is unexposed at 1m+ with connections only stepping her up for the first last time at Yarmouth in September where she rallied gamely to be narrowly denied in a photo.

On bare form, she has something to find, but she is 33/1 as a result and her two-year old efforts suggest she can mix it at this level.

If they go a hot pace up top we can see this daughter of Siyouni running on for a place.

The lucrative Breeders' Cup Sprint sees eleven line up over 6f and we are siding with the 4yo improver Elite Power.

Versatile trip-wise, this son of Curlin won't be caught out if they go too quick here, and he has shown he can be ridden at either end of the field.

Jackie's Warrior is the obvious one at the top end of the market but at an each-way price we feel the Juddmonte runner represents value.

Charlie Appleby will be hoping for a fruitful Breeders' Cup Saturday and Modern Games looks one of his better chances.

A winner at last year's Breeders' Cup, this 3-y-o is on the improve, and is evidently a horse that enjoys travelling.

The plan was to keep him fresh so the Ascot run isn't the ideal prep but it isn't enough to put us off.

One that we feel will run well without winning is Ivar for Paulo Lobo so at 25/1 we wouldn't put anyone off an e/w bet however it is hard to see him reversing form with Annopolis.

This 3yo colt was in command when beating a few of these last time out and as a horse in the younger generation he is still open to improvement.

The choice of Irad - he looks the e/w play in the race.

Todd Pletcher has a strong hand in this year's Breeders' Cup Distaff as his up and comer Nest battles it out with the consistent Malathaat.

The former is sure to be popular but at 13/8 she is plenty short as her rival has never finished off the board in thirteen career starts and she has a 100% record at this course in three starts.

She's had a perfect prep and rates the value at the prices.

The penultimate race on the card is the Breeders' Cup Turf where yet again Charlie Appleby holds strong claims.

Training the two favourites, the Newmarket handler must be quietly confident, and it is the mount of William Buick that we are keeping on our side.

Nations Pride has evidently been targeted at this race having been campaigned stateside and the talk around this horse when supplemented for the Epsom Derby suggested they think he is a potential star.

Conditions to suit and handy draw.

Last but certainly not least is the Breeders' Cup Classic.

All the talk will be about Flightline in this, and rightly so, however at 1/2 we can't really advise you to play him as a single.

As a result, we've decided to find one to try and chase him home, which may well be Olympiad who looks big at around 33/1.

This 4yo colt looks more a 16/1 chance for us and his recent victory outlined he is back to his best after a very flat effort at Saratoga.
