Our NAP of the Day for the last day of the York Ebor Festival, Mr Lightside has a strong track record, having won at Redcar and Nottingham before finishing third at Goodwood, narrowly beaten by a stable-mate. It prefers to lead the race and is expected to perform well again, making it a top contender for the upcoming competition.
Should be hard to beat as he returns to Ascot. The winner of Winkfield Stakes and the St James’s Palace Stakes at this course, he returned with a decent enough effort after a break to be 3rd in the Lockinge Stakes.
Should come on bundles for that effort. Notable Speech Flopped at this meeting last year and Lead Artist likely won’t get a soft time in the lead here.
Everything should tee up nicely for Rosallion to win here again.

Lake Forest is a promising contender for the 3.00 at Ebor, winner of last year's Gimcrack stake, his suitability for the 7-furlong distance and along with a skilled rider in Tom Marquand puts the horse as our favourite for this race.
Mr. Lightside is a strong contender in the 16:45 at Ebor having previously won at Redcar and Nottingham and finishing third at Goodwood. He prefers to lead and is expected to perform well.
The upcoming race is highly competitive, with many horses having a chance to win. Despite being a longshot, Terrorise has been well-backed by connections and could benefit from the extra distance and the experienced jockey Shay Farmer, who has a perfect record at York.
I’m willing to take a chance on Power Blue in this field, with him posting the best RPR in this field and having the most experience.
Arguably he might not have the same level of improvement in him as other runners in the field but he looks classy, finishing just behind Albert Einstein last time out in a Group Three and should get some better pace cover in this big field.
A nice low draw is ideal with 5/6 renewals being won by stall 10 or lower. With as many as 5 places on offer, he looks overpriced to get into the extended frame.
