Wolverhampton host a decent card on Monday evening and there has been some big money come for one of the horses in the 5f handicap race.
Keith Dalgleish sends Hot Diggity Dog on the 544 mile round trip down to Wolverhampton this evening, a 6f winner at Newcastle in October who has subsequently gone off a well fancied favourite in his last two runs over that same trip.
He proved below form in the first of those runs for a 5th placed finish before bouncing back with strong effort last time out here at Wolverhampton behind a less exposed William Haggas opponent, finishing runner-up.
The common denominator in both of those runs however was the fact he seemingly petered out in the closing stages of those affairs and a drop back to 5f now looks a suitable move given the manner of those efforts.
A 60 day break may just be enough to rejuvenate him further ahead of this run and the market is once more liking his chances at bettering a mark of 66.
