Who To Follow On Day Three Of The St Leger Meeting - 10/09/21

Horse To Follow - Thousand Oaks

The final event of the afternoon is the Premier Fillies' Stakes over 1m4f and the John & Thady Gosden trained Thousand Oaks looks to be one of our best bets of the day.

The three year old made her debut in May at Kempton, finishing a very smart third behind two nice types that have since gone on to win since.

She backed that up next time out when another good third behind two smart types at Haydock, that have also both gone onto win since and are both contesting in Group Two company this week.

Thousand Oaks franked the form herself last time out when a superb winner of a Novice Stakes at Newmarket over today's trip, seeing off Line Of Descent by close to five lengths and that Simon & Ed Crisford trained horse has since won well.

Form pick, that should be tough to beat if improving once more on her handicap debut.

Trainer To Follow - Richard Hannon

Richard Hannon could be set for a super day at Town Moor on day three fielding some nice types in some of the big races and for that reason is worth following.

In the first race of the day he fields Geopolitic and Thunder Max who have cracking pedigrees and could go well on debut but one of his big shouts of the day comes in the Listed Flying Scotsman Stakes with Razzle Dazzle.

In the Group Two Flying Childers Hannon has Molecomb Stakes winner Armour that drops down to Group Two company and could dominate procedings.

Jockey To Follow - Oisin Murphy

Man of the moment Oisin Murphy is in some serious form ahead of day three of the meeting and to add to that he also sits on some horses near the top of their respective betting markets.

In the first race of the day he sits on the Queen's horse Tack on debut and then gets on another for Andrew Balding with Hoo Ya Mal looking to make it back to back wins.

One of Murphy's best rides of the day comes in the lucky last with Thousand Oaks for his retained Qatar Racing looking tough to beat.

The Irishman heads into the meeting running at a 25% strike rate having landed 16 winners from his last 65 rides over the last two weeks.
