The penultimate race of the afternoon at Southwell sees the Class 3 Handicap over 5f and with Frankie Dettori taking the ride, Angle Land makes big appeal.

Ran frequently this term he started the season off in smart form off a mark of 72, putting up two wins at Southwell over C&D and Chelmsford and also two other good second over C&D which saw his mark rise to 81.

He struggles in two races on the turf after that but off the same mark at Goodwood after those runs he was a good second behind the talented Dream Composer.

Dropped 1lb for that run he got back to winning ways at Goodwood off a mark of 80 and then posted a good effort to finish sixth of 20 in the Class 2 Epsom Dash at the Derby meeting off a mark of 84.

Since then though he went off the boil putting up three poor performances at Haydock, Chelmsford and Yarmouth, but last time out back at his beloved Goodwood was a good second on soft ground.

Off the same mark of 80 here, getting back to a course and distance he acts well on and Dettori booked, he makes big appeal to go close.

Team To Follow - Team Ireland

We put up Team Ireland to follow at Newcastle on the all weather two weeks ago and again last week at Wolverhampton on the tapeta and having had their best two weeks and sitting two points off top spot on 664 points, this week we are making it a hat-trick.

The Irish raiders once again have sent a strong team to Southwell on Wednesday afternoon and horse who takes the eye at a big price earlier on in the card is Shawaameke for Johnny Levins who has done well in the League so far.

The Class 4 Handicap over a mile seeing them have two of their best chances of the afternoon with Tosen Wish and Hat Toss both sure to go close.

Nordic Passage in the Class 4 Handicap over 6f is becoming a legend at this seasons Racing League putting up a second and a win at Newcastle when last seen and he won't be far away again.

With other nice chances up and down the card, Team Ireland are once again out to go well again and are worth following throughout the evening.
