Today we are taking a look back at last year's winner of the Group Two Hungerford Stakes with the Newbury event being the feature in the UK this weekend.
A superb, but fragile horse for William Haggas over the years, she has been seen winning events like the Group Three Nell Gwyn Stakes and the Hungerford Stakes whilst also placing in Classy Group events such as the Queen Mary Stakes, Sky Bet Lowther Stakes and Flying Childers Stakes.
Only seen three times last season due to a setback early on in the term, she landed the Nell Gwyn Stakes having a perfect prep ahead of the 1000 Guineas but due to a combination of things she ran no race at all and finished last of the eight in the Classic race.
Not seen again until August she returned in flying form to land last year's renewal of the Hungerford Stakes, powering clear of a smart field.
Seen twice this term, Sacred has been fifth on both occasions in the Group One Platinum Jubilee Stakes and then last time out in the Group Two Lennox Stakes at Glorious Goodwood.
