One of the highlight races at Leopardstown on Tuesday is the Grade One Matheson Hurdle that has been won over the last two years by the same horse and today he will be going for his third straight victory in the event.
Sharjah for Willie Mullins although landing this race twice and the Morgiana Hurdle at Punchestown, strangely he has not been feared in the Champion Hurdle betting markets over the last few years.
Leopardstown seems to be his track having a superb record there and it would be a monstrous feat if he was to go on and land the event again today.
Off the back of his win in the event last term he went on to give his best ever running at the Cheltenham festival when finishing a narrow second to Epatante in the Champion Hurdle.
