The final instalment of the Altior Trilogy of winning the Celebration Chase comes to an end today as we look into the 2019 renewal of the race and how he landed the hat-trick.
Having landed the 2017 and 2018 renewal of the race, the superstar went on to take the 2019 renewal and this season is set to line up for a fourth straight time.
Altior over the last few years has slowly dropped his race standards, suffering his first defeat over fences and then this season getting beat again on his sole run.
However, at the age of 10 years old he is now coming to the end of his career and is picking up small injuries that are starting to keep him off the track.
He will be taking on his foe Nube Negra who beat him in the Desert Orchid Chase and also possibly Champion Chase winner Put The Kettle On.
However, today we are looking book at the latest renewal of the Grade One, where he made it 19 wins over obstacles in a row.
