The Shloer Chase on Sunday is one of the feature races of the week at Cheltenham for their November meeting and ahead of the event we have looked back at last year's renewal.
Defi Du Seuil had a superb season last term, winning all of his first three events and only coming unstuck when a hot favourite for the Champion Chase at the festival.
The race that got his career going was the Grade Two Shloer Chase and although taking on four runners it saw the likes of Grade One winners Politologue and Simply Ned go to post.
The seven year old for Philip Hobbs, is set for another big season and could even look to retain his title in the Sunday feature with declarations for the race set to come out in the coming days.
What a day for JP McManus - now it's his Defi Du Seuil who outsprints Politologue under @BarryJGeraghty in a cracking finish to the Shloer Chase. That's six winners on the day so far for the owner. 👏@PJHobbs1 always a trainer to follow at #TheNovemberMeeting@CheltenhamRaces pic.twitter.com/ISvUxpGUD5
