One Horse, Jockey And Trainer To Follow In Britain On Saturday

Horse To Follow - Canelo - Doncaster

Our best bet of the day at Town Moor with Canelo looking to jump his rivals into submission in the Grimthorpe Handicap Chase.

The eight year old has really clicked into gear this season over fences having shown plenty of ability but not always backing that up in his races.

However, this term he has been largely consistent running five times, winning twice and placing in another event. He landed his first race of the season at Aintree in a Limited Handicap Chase and then backed that up next time out at Newbury when a good second behind nice type Cap Du Nord.

He was stepped up to three miles at Wetherby two starts ago and got back to winning ways, seeing off Snow Leopardess for Charlie Longsdon, who has since franked the form.

Canelo was last seen over three miles at Doncaster in tricky conditions which did not play to his strengths and he still managed to finish a good fourth in a better Listed Handicap event.

Getting his quicker ground today makes him a big player in what looks a weaker event.

Trainer To Follow - Paul Nicholls

Paul Nicholls has some superb chances on Saturday at both Kelso, Doncaster and Newbury and with that in mind we believe he is the trainer to follow across the day in Britain.

Starting at Kelso, Nicholls takes a strong team up to the Scottish track with his best chances coming from Flash Collonges and Eritage.

At Newbury he almost has a dead certainty if Hitman manages to stay on his feet and then rounding things off at Doncaster, Getaway Trump looks to be his big chance of the day getting back to good ground.

Going for his 12th Champion Trainer title the Ditcheat handler has been in superb form this season and especially over the last two weeks as he is running at a strike rate of 22.81%.

Jockey To Follow - Kevin Brogan

Finally, the jockey we believe will pay to follow on Saturday comes from Newbury with handy 5lb claimer Kevin Brogan getting a handful of nice rides that should see him in the winners enclosure.

In the first race of the day he sits on Not A Role Model who is going in search of a hat-trick and with Brogan taking weight off he has a huge chance.

Another horse that his claim will help on is Gastara in the two mile Handicap Hurdle with the Johnny Farrelly trained six year old a potential improver.
