A trainer on Friday is looking to have a winner on the flat at Newcastle, sending just one runner to the northern based track on the day which sees the handler make a 490 mile round trip.
When we see trainers coming such a long way to just run the one horse we like to highlight it, as we believe they would not be coming all that way if it did not have a real chance.
Trainer George Boughey loves bringing his horses this far currently running at a strike rate of 24% during his career having had 42 winners from 178 runners.
Boughey also holds a 25% strike rate at the track with his runners during his career.
