James Owen is set to unleash the exciting Lavender Hill Mob at Newcastle on Saturday, with connections reportedly believing that the three-year-old is the best juvenile in their yard.

The gelding is yet to make an appearance over hurdles, but boasts some impressive form on the flat after winning twice from nine starts under rules.

Was last seen in action in June, finishing a very respectable seventh in the G2 Queen's Vase. A very notable newcomer in this field, and should be very hard to beat.

Skyjack Hijack has been a winning machine for the Jennie Candlish yard this season, and Sean Quinlan is booked to take the ride on the six-year-old at Newcastle on Saturday.

Skyjack Hijack has won five from nine starts over hurdles, which includes wins on each of his five starts.

Was last seen winning impressively over two miles and five at Exeter, beating Captain Bellamy by a 26-length margin.

Doesn't look to have stopped improving, and there is likely more to come.

The G1 Fighting Fifth looks set to be an interesting battle between the two market leaders, with Willie Mullins-trained Mystical Power taking on Sir Gino.

The preference is for the Nicky Henderson-trained runner, who returns over hurdles following well-documented issues surrounding Constitution Hill's fitness.

The four-year-old is four-from-four over hurdles, and was an excellent winner of the G1 Juvenile Hurdle at Aintree on his first start last season.

Plenty of improvement to come, and he could take top rank in the two-mile hurdle division this season.

Gustavian is the runner from the Anthony Honeyball yard in the final race on the card at Newcastle on Saturday.

The nine-year-old has won once from 18 starts over fences, and returned from a lengthy 215-day break with a fine third in the Badger Beer at Wincanton at the start of the month.

Was out of the handicap on that start, and will take high rank now back in calmer waters over an extended two miles and seven today.
