Sangarius has been a very talented horse for Sir Michael Stoute over the years and now at the age of five is a very unexposed horse having only raced seven times.

The son of Kingman made his debut back in 2018, when winning a seven furlong Novice Stakes at Newmarket seeing off Bangkok and he then backed that up at Doncaster landing back to back races.

He then went into the Group One Dewhurst Stakes finishing fourth behind the likes of Too Darn Hot, Advertise and Anthony Van Dyck who have all gone on to land big Group One events throughout their careers.

Back for another season he finished third on his first three year old start in the Heron Stakes at Sandown behind two nice types and then when stepped up to 10f at Royal Ascot for the Group Three Hampton Court, he gave a career best performance to land the event.

He was then given a year off the track with a slight setback and was beaten convincingly on his return, only seeing off one horse in the five runner Brigadier Gerard Stakes won by Lord North.

Sangarius was last seen at Lingfield in December winning the Listed Quebec Stakes over 1m2f from Bangkok and if fresh from another lay off could be the one to beat.

As a two year old the son of Galileo landed three races on the bounce including the Group Two Fututrity Stakes but when put into Group One company has struggled.

Last term the colt finished fourth in the Irish 2000 Guineas on debut and was fourth again when stepped up in trip for the Tattersalls Gold Cup.

He got back to winning ways at The Curragh over 1m2f in a Group Three event next time out, and over the same course and distance out ran his odds of 66/1 in the Irish Champion Stakes to finish third behind Ghaiyyath and Magical.

The colt was last seen being sent down under for the Group One Cox Plate where he was narrowly second to ex stablemate Sir Dragonet.

Armory is a very progressive animal that has proved he can be versatile on quick and slow ground and if not needing the run has a big chance.

Andrew Balding
Age: 5
Weight: 9-1
OR: 111
Days: 35

The five year old has been a superstar for Andrew Balding over the years, landing races like Group Three Classic Trial and the Winter Derby Trial in back to back years.

This season he has been battling it out with Forest Of Dean and has beaten him on every occasion so a reverse of the form this time around would be a surprise.

Having landed the Derby Trial over course and distance in February, the gelding then went to Riyadh for the Saudi Cup and finished a mid-field eighth behind winner Mishriff, who has since gone on to land the Group Dubai Sheema Classic.

Bangkok last time out also franked that form line when winning the 1m2f Easter Classic at Lingfield on All-Weather Championships day.

He is a determined horse that always runs his race, but back on turf he may be vulnerable against these better horses.

Another runner from the Easter Classic at Lingfield is Palavecino for trainer Brian Meehan and this five year old seems to be on the upgrade.

Having been mostly tried on the all weather and running to a consistent standard, he will have to give a career best effort to win this event.

Having run some smart races at Lingfield at the back end of last year, he went into the Easter Classic with a big chance and was just touched off by rival Bangkok.

The return to turf also poses questions and the bare face of his form does not look good enough.

Weight: 8-12

The final runner of the race is Bharani Star and this four year old daughter of Sea The Stars has it all to do having only won one of her six events to date.

Being bought for €270,000 as a yearling the Chapple Hyam yard started her off over a mile and she showed hints of ability on quick ground at Ascot and Newmarket.

Moved up in trip at Haydock on her first run of last term, she got off the mark in fine style, revelling in the 1m3f.

However, since then she has struggled in Group One, Two and Listed company and needs a big revival in form to go close here, weight allowance will help though.
