A more experienced sort in the Amo Racing silks, Crispy Cat has already had six career starts.
Making a taking enough debut to win a maiden at Cork over 5 furlongs, he was then only just held off by Blackbeard in a listed event. Brought over for the National Stakes at Sandown off the back of that, again he was only narrowly held off by a single rival.
Unlucky in running in the Norfolk Stakes, he ran on well when seeing daylight to capture 3rd in the group 2 contest. Upped in trip off the back of that effort, he wilted late on and came home in last.
Last seen kept at 6 furlongs, he shaped well enough to be 4th in the Richmond Stakes, not looking like he stayed the trip fully. Dropping back to 5 furlongs looks a positive but he’ll have to take a step forward on what he’s been showing recently.
