Karl Burke has one in this York contest with his filly Novakai. The three-year-old has made a good start to her career, winning on debut at Doncaster before stepping into strong company on just her second outing. She was fifth in the Solera Stakes at Newmarket last August before back-to-back runner-up finishes at Doncaster (Group Two May Hill Stakes) and Newmarket (Group One Fillies’ Mile).
She arrives with a lot of promise and progression in her career so far and she makes plenty of appeal back down in company after that good run in the Fillies’ Mile at Newmarket. Has been off the track since but she should be right there in with a chance of winning this.
