Charlie Appleby sends one runner to this Royal Ascot event on Wednesday with Adayar. The five-year-old won the Derby at Epsom back in 2021 and also added the King George at Ascot to his achievements on just his next outing.

We only saw him twice last term, winning a class two three-runner race at Doncaster as well as finishing second to Bay Bridge in the Group One Champion Stakes at Ascot in October.

This Frankel horse returned in 2023 to win the Group Three bet365 Gordon Richards Stakes at Newmarket last month and like a couple in this, he should be there or thereabouts at the end of this one.

William Buick will be on board the current market second-favourite.

Sir Michael Stoute has one runner in this Royal Ascot contest with Bay Bridge. The five-year-old progressed well last term, winning the Group Three Brigadier Gerard Stakes at Sandown and career-best victory in the Group One Champion Stakes in October, ahead of Adayar, My Prospero and the now-retired Baaeed.

The horse has returned in decent form this term, finishing third in the Group One Prix Ganay at ParisLongchamp and runner-up to Luxembourg in the Group One Gold Cup at Curragh last month before heading here.

Another one of the runners who cannot be ruled out after that good run last time out, and a good run is expected here. Richard Kingscote is booked to ride.

John and Thady Gosden send one runner to the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday with Mostahdaf.

The five-year-old won a couple of group three races last term at Sandown and Kempton, but largely struggled when sent into higher company despite a runner-up finish in the Group Two Hardwicke Stakes here last June.

The horse was last in the Arc at ParisLongchamp on his final 2022 run and fourth in the Dubai Sheema Classic at Meydan on 2023 return.

Would be a surprising winner here up against some runners that have won group one contests. Jim Crowley is on board.

Aidan O’Brien sends one runner to the Prince Of Wales’s Stakes at Royal Ascot on Wednesday with Luxembourg.

The four-year-old has won numerous grouped contests in his career so far, including the Group One Gold Cup last time out at Curragh, the Group One Irish Champion Stakes at Leopardstown and the Group One Futurity Trophy Stakes at Doncaster too.

He was also competitive in the 2000 Guineas last term, finishing third behind Native Trail and Coroebus.

The 123-rated runner could add another group one success here and is well-placed to do so after grouped success last time out.

Ryan Moore is booked to ride.

Classic Causeway

Age: 4
Weight: 9-2

Kenneth McPeek sends one runner to this Royal Ascot contest in the form of Classic Causeway. The four-year-old won the Grade One Belmont Derby in July last year, edging out Nations Pride but hasn’t been in the same form since.

His best effort came in a grade three at Belmont At The Big A, where Nations Pride reversed that Derby form to win as he finished third but has since finished sixth and seventh at Keeneland before heading here for first 2023 outing.

He looks to be up against it here in this company and is a very big price at around 100/1. One to dismiss.

My Prospero

Age: 4
Weight: 9-2

Days: 32

William Haggas boasts one runner in this year's Prince Of Wales’s Stakes with My Prospero.

The four-year-old has shown lots of promise in his early career, winning the Listed Heron Stakes at Sandown and the Group Two Eugene Adam Stakes at Saint-Cloud as well as finishing third in the St James’s Palace Stakes here last term and third in the Group One Champion Stakes behind Adayar and Bay Bridge.

He returned to finish fourth in the Group One Lockinge Stakes at Newbury this year and is another who should be in the mix for victory here.

This is a difficult race to call but he’s one to consider. Tom Marquand will do the steering.
