Random Harvest

Age: 5
Weight: 9-9
OR: 108
Days: 23

Ed Walker sends one runner to the Group One Falmouth Stakes on Friday at Newmarket in the form of Random Harvest. The five-year-old has been inconsistent throughout her career so far, recording wins at Yarmouth, Ascot and Milan (G3) but also failing to finish in the top three on a number of occasions since debuting in 2020. The mare has performed well on her last two outings, finishing runner-up to Prosperous Voyage at Epsom and runner-up to Rogue Millennium at Royal Ascot in grouped contests before stepping into group one company here.

This requires another step up and while she is not dismissed, she would be an unlikely winner. Saffie Osborne is booked to ride.

N/A
Age: 5
Weight: 9-9
OR: 116
Days: 13

George Boughey sends one runner to the Group One Falmouth Stakes in the form of Via Sistina. The five-year-old is in red-hot form, having won her last three races in a row. Those wins include the Group Three Fille De L'air Stakes at Touliuse, the Group Two Dahlia Stakes here and the Group One Pretty Polly Stakes at Curragh last time out. She won at least two of those races in fairly easy fashion and arrives here as the one to beat on recent form.

She has a big chance of making it four wins out of four here and Jamie Spencer is booked to ride,

Prosperous Voyage

T: Ralph Beckett
N/A
Age: 4
Weight: 9-9
OR: 108
Days: 23

Ralph Beckett sends two to this group one contest at Newmarket on Friday with Remarquee and Prosperous Voyage. The latter has been a bit inconsistent of late after finishing second in the 1000 Guineas here last term, winning this race last year as well as winning the Group Three Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom last month by just under a length to fellow runner Random Harvest. This filly has struggled a little at this sort of level in the last year or so but she finished third in the Group Two Duke Of Cambridge Stakes at Royal Ascot last month which provides a bit of promise for this one.

William Buick will do the steering on Prosperous Voyage here.

Ameynah

T: Roger Varian
N/A
Age: 4
Weight: 9-9
OR: 107
Days: 439

Roger Varian boasts one runner in the Group One Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket on Friday with market outsider Ameynah. The four-year-old arrives here as one of the more lightly raced runners, having had just three starts prior to this one. She followed up a runner-up finish in a class three here back in 2021 by winning an eight-runner class four maiden in April last year. We now haven't seen her since she finished sixth in the 1000 Guineas here last May and questions have to be asked about whether she can compete at this level after 439 days off the track.

The fill is not dismissed but does face a stiff task. David Egan is tasked with riding.

Age: 4
Weight: 9-9
OR: 110

John and Thady Gosden send two to this group one contest over one mile at Newmarket on Friday with Coppice and Nashwa. The latter arrives here on the back of finishing second in the Group Three Hoppings Fillies' Stakes at Newcastle last month. She was the winner of a few good events last term, including the Group One Prix de Diane at Chantilly and the Group One Nassau Stakes at Goodwood last July and has to be respected here on her third outing in 2023 as well as dropping down to the 1m trip, which is bound to suit her.

It would be surprising to see her outside the places here in the hands of the in-form Hollie Doyle.

Shane Kelly

Astral Beau

J: Shane Kelly
T: Pam Sly
N/A
Age: 4
Weight: 9-9
OR: 105
Days: 41

Pam Sly sends one runner to the Group One Falmouth Stakes on Friday in the form of Astral Beau. The four-year-old has been going nicely since stepping into this sort of company from handicapping, finishing in the top three on all three occasions including landing the Listed Doncaster Mile in April on her listed debut. Since then, she has finished third here in the Group Two Dahlia Stakes and third in the Group Three Princess Elizabeth Stakes at Epsom and has more place claims here if continuing that form.

This is a bit tougher but is probably worth the each-way bet around 20/1 in the form she's in. Shane Kelly is booked to ride.

Never Ending Story

Aiden O'Brien sends one runner to this group one contest at Newmarket in the form of Never Ending Story. The three-year-old begun her career with two wins from her first three runs, and also claimed victory in the 1000 Guineas Trial at Leopardstown this term but has since struggled a little, finishing fifth at ParisLongchamp in a group one and last time out finished seventh in the Group One Pretty Polly Stakes at Curragh earlier this month.

This requires even more work in this company and others in the race make more appeal on form. Ryan Moore will do the steering as expected.

Days: 21

Ralph Beckett sends two runners to the Group One Falmouth Stakes at Newmarket on Friday in the form of Prosperous Voyage and Remarquee. The latter arrives here on the back of finishing second in the Group One Coronation Stakes at Royal Ascot, a length behind Tahiyra. Prior to that, she had won her first two outings at Salisbury (C4) and Newbury (G3), before finishing 15th of 20 in the 1000 Guineas here in May. She remains with potential and can continue to get back on track after that runner-up finish last time out.

Rob Hornby will do the steering on the filly, who is well respected.

Tom Marquand

Coppice

J: Tom Marquand
T: John & Thady Gosden
N/A
Age: 3
Weight: 9-0
OR: 105
Days: 21

John and Thady Gosden send two runners to this group one contest over a mile at Newmarket in the form of Nashwa and Coppice. The latter has largely impressed on her four starts so far, winning three of those at Kempton, Newcastle and Royal Ascot. None of those have come at this sort of level and she struggled when thrust into group three company for the Nell Gwyn Stakes here in April, finishing tenth of 15. She's worth another shot now, however, after claiming a one-length victory in the Sandringham last month.

Tom Marquand will do the steering on the filly, who has a chance of doing better than her previous grouped attempt.
