Naas Preview Sunday - 24/02/2019

13:30 - Fast Buck

The first horse of the day at Naas racecourse see's a big fielded Maiden Hurdle over 2 miles and we have gone for the Willie Mullins trained Fast Buck to get us off to a nice start for the day.

This youngster is a really promising French horse that on his debut at Cork finished a really good second behind Supreme Novice fancy Fakir D'Oudairies.

If repeating the same form or even coming on for that run he could be a really nice horse and will be sure to not be to far away from landing the contest.

14:30 - Beyond The Law

The second race in the preview at Naas is the Handicap Chase over 2 miles 4 furlongs and this see's the Mouse Morris trained Beyond The Law come to the forefront.

This seven year old has a chance off the back of his latest second behind the impressive Mullins trained Real Steel who won that day and has since gone on to frank that form at Punchestown on Wednesday.

If finding a bit more off the back of that run and going down in trip slightly he is sure to produce another big performance.

15:00 - Chosen Mate

Chosen Mate is our next selection and this horse looks to be the pick of the bunch in the feature Grade 2 Novice Hurdle contest over 2 miles.

This Gordon Elliott trained six year old is set to have top jockey Davy Russell on board this Sunday and this season so far has finished with figures of 112.

His second last time out came at Punchestown in a decent contest and he ran well in behind a potential superstar for Henry De Bromhead. One to beat.

15:35 - Cadmuim

The next selection of the day from Naas comes in another good contest from the Irish track on Sunday, in the Grade 3 Chase over 2 miles and we have gone with the Willie Mullins trained Cadmuim.

This seven year old owned by the Supreme Horse Racing Club, who have some special horses in their infantry this year, is a really nice looking gelding who has ran well behind some smart horses so far this term.

Now in a small runner field and back in trip he has a super chance on ratings alone. Another positive is he handles the ground so it all looks to be going his way.

16:35 - Kayf Thou

The penultimate race of the day is the 3 mile Handicap Chase and the Gordon Elliott trained Kayf Thou looks to be the one to beat with top jockey Jack Kennedy booked.

This eight year old has raced four times this season and took the first two runs to get the hang of things again over fences but recently he has produced some smart performances.

Finishing first of 17 on his second to last start and third of 13 last time out over the same trip as Sunday. Has a real chance off the back off this form line.

17:05 - Midnight Run

The last contest of the day see's the Jospeh O'Brien trained Midnight Run be our selection for the Irish Open National Hunt Flat Race over 2 miles.

This Gigginstown owned five year old could be a potential star from how he has impressed on his first two bumpers finishing first at Galway on debut and then a good second last time out at Navan.

That second was in behind Cheltenham Champion Bumper favourite Envoi Allen and if reproducing that form he will be sure to land the spoils and put his name in the hat for the big one at the festival.
