12:20 - Fraser Island

Kempton host the feature card of the day in Britain and it gets underway with a stellar Juvenile Hurdle over two miles and Fraser Island for Nicky Henderson looks the pick of the field.

The four year old gelding was a decent runner on the flat for Mark Johnston and proved his pace when bolting up on hurdles debut at Newbury.

That was a very taking performance with his jumping also being a highlight of the run, with it being his first time over hurdles and him sure to come on for that run.

12:55 - Saint Xavier

The Class 3 Novices Hurdle looks a hotter affair than it should be for a race of this kind and the Paul Nicholls trained Saint Xavier could just be a class above this field.

He was a smart chaser in France liking tacky ground and four starts ago he landed a nice event at Auteuil in those conditions and if the ran continues to fall he could have ideal conditions.

Since moving to Paul Nicholls he has raced once at Cheltenham pulling very hard in a Grade Two and scuppering any chance of landing a blow in the race.

He should come on for that run and if settling better should turn into a nice bet tomorrow.

13:30 - Sammy Bill

Another Class 3 Handicap follows this time for the chasers and the favourite Sammy Bill for Oliver Sherwood looks to be the one to beat.

The course and distance winner has raced twice this season and won both quite cosily, scoring on his seasonal debut at Kempton and last time out staying on well to land a nice event at Aintree.

He has gone massively up in the handicap but looks like a horse that could progress into Listed or even Graded company and should go well in this race.

14:05 - Kauto Riko

The feature contest at Kempton on Saturday is the Silviniaco Conti Chase and in this small fielded Grade Two we like the Tom Gretton trained Kauto Riko.

This horse was superb on his seasonal debut in December when out running his odds of 100/1 to finish a staying on second behind Top Notch in the Grade Two Peterborough Chase.

This nine year old has been underestimated his whole career with the trainer not being the most well known in the racing world but now nine years of age he could be finding his prime and is worth another gamble at decent odds.

14:40 - Notre Pari

Olly Murphy is a trainer who suffered his first blip of his career recently but now is back amongst the winners and flying again and we expect him to land another winner with Notre Pari in the Listed Lanzarote Hurdle.

Barry Geraghty on board is a huge plus with the jockey riding to a fair standard recently an this horse has just gone from strength to strength this season.

He finished fourth on his seasonal debut at Fakenham and looked to need the run but has since been second at Market Rasen before winning nicely on his handicap debut at Aintree.

He goes up eight pounds for that but if coming on again has to be respected.

15:15 - War Sound

The penultimate contest of the afternoon for us is War Sound for trainer Philip Hobbs and this 11 year old although a veteran still holds bags of ability.

He has raced twice this season with a below par effort on seasonal debut at Aintree finishing seventh at 10 but he did win that contest the year before.

He was much better last time out finishing fifth of 12 runners at Ascot in Heavy conditions and should be much better for both those runs.

15:45 - Never Adapt

The final runner of the afternoon at Kempton is the Nicky Henderson trained Never Adapt that holds a very scary form line and if being able to live up to it should take this contest.

This five year old mare won over in France in 2018 and was then bought by JP McManus and moved over to England and in her two runs has looked very talented.

She finished third in November 2018 at Cheltenham in the Triumph Hurdle Trial contest being beaten by Quel Destin and Cracker Factory who turned out to be very smart horses.

On her seasonal debut this season she was third again in a decent contest but that was a prep run for fitness and she should be in the mix in this one.
