17:00 - Stronghold

This French gelding is ridden my Seamie Heffernan this time out, and after a much improved run at Dundalk last time out just 7 days ago, the going should suit as well as seems to suit a slow ground.

Provided conditions stay the same, and among a similar field there’s plenty of chance to improve on the form before the close 2nd last week. Missed out by 1 ½ lengths but to more experienced horses.

17:30 - Sleepy Head

Often raced Sleepy Head at Dundalk finishes well over this course and should suit the 1f shorter trip based on consistent recent form.

The handicaps recently have provided good insight and with the places of late shows this filly can finish well and be among the front contenders.

18:00 – Edification

Under a consistent jockey has seen steady improvement including among slow ground here at Dundalk over the last month, the third place last time out over 1m gives a good indication that there’s more to see from this horse trained by Mark Fahey, since clear improvements from missing the mark altogether at Galway and Leopardstown previously.

18:30 - Lafayette Hill

Another one that’s shown steady improvement over at Dundalk and the consistency makes it more appealing over this C&D especially with the win last time out on a similar ground. Under G.P Halpin again as well to give this horse the much needed consistency over again to see how she goes.

Been a little longer since last trip than some of the other horses in the field and could make all the running if building on the last win

19:00 - Lovee Dovee

The 3-year-old filly is a half-sister to many winners and so shows much potential on paper with the pedigree to become another one of those successful horses over Ireland.

All suggests should like this distance too if dam is also anything to go by with trainers success of breeding starters.

19:30 - Ahlan Bil Zain

Won three in last five, on varying ground too which is encouraging coming up to this race with slow ground more than likely again.

The French gelding can make all the ground given recent form while rarely disappointing and loves the course based on three winners over this course and distance.

Slight increase to 1m didn’t suit when fourth and showed twice since in big fields can make all ground consistently.

20:00 - Master Diver

Second last time out at Newcastle and even though slow ground still made decent pace until 1f out when ridden.

If improving on that finish should make all in contention and lead out from the front again but kept in line with the pack to keep pace towards the final push based on last performances.
