Supreme Novices' Hurdle

The first race of the Cheltenham Festival is now just six days away and we thought we would see how excited you are for it with a quiz on the Supreme Novices Hurdle and it last 10 winners.

There have been some special winners of this Grade One over the years and for a lot of people it is one of the best contests of the entire four days, with the famous Cheltenham Roar and the young hurdlers going to post it has seen the next up and coming stars of the racing world.

Many of the leading trainers over the last few years at the festival have started the four days off in style with Willie Mullins landing this three years in a row in the past 10, with his Irish rival Gordon Elliott only winning it once in 2017.

English trainers haven't been done too bad in this contest and last years winner for Tom George was a memorable start to the festival for the British trainer.

2016 also saw an Englishman take home the spoils in what was arguably one of the best renewals of the race which has since gone on to see the majority of the runners go on to land Grade 1 races over hurdles or fences.

This race is very special to the festival and this years looks set to not disappoint with many good youngsters going to post to fight it out for the Grade One title.

You have two to complete 10 questions and we believe you true Cheltenham racing fans out there should at least get 8/10.

We have given you the year the horse won it and also the trainer of the winning horse but this is not multiple choice so you will have to know the answers from your knowledge.

Good luck and don't forget to tweet a screenshot of your scores into @TWEnclosure and the best ones will be retweeted.
